A search is reported for pairs of light Higgs bosons () produced in supersymmetric cascade decays in final states with small missing transverse momentum. A data set of LHC collisions collected with the CMS detector at and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 is used. The search targets events where both bosons decay into pairs that are reconstructed as large-radius jets using substructure techniques.

As the natural science of behavior evolves, the use of precise terminology is critical to maintain its conceptual and terminological integrity. The current state of terminology in stimulus control is well developed with respect to reinforcement and incomplete with respect to punishment. In this paper, we aim to make the case that the current conceptualization for discriminative stimulus control in relation to punishment would be enhanced by modifying the definition of the discriminative stimulus for punishment (S) and by adding a new term to the current taxonomy that denotes when a punishment contingency is inactive.

Quantitative angiography (QAngio) may provide hemodynamic information during neurointerventional procedures through imaging biomarkers related to contrast flow. The standard clinical implementation of QAngio is limited by projection imaging: analysis of contrast motion within complex 3D geometries is restricted to 1-2 projection views, truncating the potential wealth of imaging biomarkers related to disease progression or efficacy of treatment. To understand the limitations of 2D biomarkers, we propose the use of in-silico contrast distributions to investigate the potential benefits of 3D-QAngio within the context of neurovascular hemodynamics.

Thermal-stress events on coral reefs lead to coral bleaching, mortality, and changes in species composition. The coral reefs of Yap, in the Federated States of Micronesia, however, remained largely unaffected by major thermal-stress events until 2020, when temperatures were elevated for three months. Twenty-nine study sites were examined around Yap to determine geographical and taxonomic patterns of coral abundance, bleaching susceptibility, and environmental predictors of bleaching susceptibility.

Non-conscious processing of human memory has traditionally been difficult to objectively measure and thus understand. A prior study on a group of hippocampal amnesia (N = 3) patients and healthy controls (N = 6) used a novel procedure for capturing neural correlates of implicit memory using event-related potentials (ERPs): old and new items were equated for varying levels of memory awareness, with ERP differences observed from 400 to 800 ms in bilateral parietal regions that were hippocampal-dependent. The current investigation sought to address the limitations of that study by increasing the sample of healthy subjects (N = 54), applying new controls for construct validity, and developing an improved, open-source tool for automated analysis of the procedure used for equating levels of memory awareness.

Nearly fifty years ago, it became possible to construct minichromosomes using recombinant DNA technology. These very small replicons, comprising the unique replication origin of the chromosome coupled to a drug resistance marker, provided new opportunities to study the regulation of bacterial chromosome replication, were key to obtaining the nucleotide sequence information encoded into and were essential for the development of a ground-breaking in vitro replication system. However, true authenticity of the minichromosome model system required that they replicate during the cell cycle with chromosome-like timing specificity.

In an attempt to develop effective and safe antibacterial agents, we synthesized novel thiazinanones by combining the quinolone scaffold and the 1,3-thiazinan-4-one group by reaction between ((4-hydroxy-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinolin-3-yl)methylene)hydrazinecarbothioamides and 2,3-diphenylcycloprop-2-enone in refluxing ethanol in the presence of triethyl amine as a catalyst. The structure of the synthesized compounds was characterized by spectral data and elemental analysis, IR, MS, H and C NMR spectroscopy which showed two doublet signals for CH-5 and CH-6 and four sharp singlets for the protons of thiazinane NH, CH[double bond, length as m-dash]N, quinolone NH and OH, respectively. Also, the C NMR spectrum clearly showed the presence of two quaternary carbon atoms which were assigned to thiazinanone-C-5 and C-6.
