Objective: To evaluate the long-term prognosis of patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) treated with different reperfusion strategies in Chinese county-level hospitals.
Methods: A total of 2,514 patients with STEMI from 32 hospitals participated in the China Acute Myocardial Infarction registry between January 2013 and September 2014. The success of fibrinolysis was assessed according to indirect measures of vascular recanalization.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) and vascular dementia (VD) are the two most common forms of dementia, share similar symptoms, and are sometimes difficult to distinguish. To investigate the potential mechanisms by which they differ, we identified differentially expressed genes in blood and brain samples from patients with these diseases, and performed weighted gene co-expression network analysis and other bioinformatics analyses. Weighted gene co-expression network analysis resulted in mining of different modules based on differences in gene expression between these two diseases.

Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been a global threat that pushes healthcare to its limits. Hypertension is one of the most common risk factors for cardiovascular complications in COVID-19 and is strongly associated with disease severity and mortality. To date, clinical mechanisms by which hypertension leads to increased risk in COVID-19 are still unclear.

Methods: In this multicenter retrospective study, patients with COVID-19 in China were included and classified into two groups according to whether they were complicated with diabetes or not. Demographic symptoms and laboratory data were extracted from medical records. Univariable and multivariable logistic regression methods were used to explore the risk factors.

Objective: Several COVID-19 patients have overlapping comorbidities. The independent role of each component contributing to the risk of COVID-19 is unknown, and how some non-cardiometabolic comorbidities affect the risk of COVID-19 remains unclear.
Methods: A retrospective follow-up design was adopted.

Objective: Previous studies mainly reported the clinical characteristics of novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) infections, but the research on clinical characteristics and treatment outcomes of COVID-19 patients with stroke is still rare.
Methods: A multi-center retrospective study was conducted at 11 hospitals in 4 provinces of China, and COVID-19 patients with stroke were enrolled from February 24 to May 4, 2020. We analyzed epidemiological, demographic, and clinical characteristics of cases as well as the laboratory test results, treatment regimens and outcomes, and the clinical characteristics and therapeutic outcomes were compared between severe and nonsevere patients, and by age group, respectively.

Background: A worldwide outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), since 2019, has brought a disaster to people all over the world. Many researchers carried out clinical epidemiological studies on patients with COVID-19 previously, but risk factors for patients with different levels of severity are still unclear.
Methods: 562 patients with laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 from 12 hospitals in China were included in this retrospective study.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic has been almost controlled in China under a series of policies, including "early diagnosis and early treatment". This study aimed to explore the association between early treatment with Qingfei Paidu decoction (QFPDD) and favorable clinical outcomes. In this retrospective multicenter study, we included 782 patients (males, 56 %; median age 46) with confirmed COVID-19 from 54 hospitals in nine provinces of China, who were divided into four groups according to the treatment initiation time from the first date of onset of symptoms to the date of starting treatment with QFPDD.

Objective: To evaluate whether the efficacy of Getong Tongluo Capsule (, GTC, consisted of total flavone of Radix Puerariae) on improving patients' quality of life and lowering blood pressure are superior to the extract of Ginkgo biloba (EGB) for patients with convalescent-phase ischemic stroke and primary hypertension.
Methods: This randomized, positive-drug- and placebo-controlled, double-blind trial was conducted from September 2015 to October 2017. Totally 477 eligible patients from 18 hospitals in China were randomly assigned in a 2:1:1 ratio to the following interventions, twice a day for 12 weeks: (1) GTC 250 mg plus EGB-matching placebo 40 mg (237 cases, GTC group), (2) EGB 40 mg plus GTC-matching placebo 250 mg (120 cases, EGB group) or (3) GTC-matching placebo 250 mg plus EGB-matching placebo 40 mg (120 cases, placebo group).

Objectives: Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been demonstrated as crucial regulators in cancer, but whether they are involved in the immune response of cancer cells remains largely undiscovered. GATA3-AS1 is a novel lncRNA that was upregulated in breast cancer (BC) according to online databases. However, its role in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) was elusive.

Background: New glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) analogues developed in recent years have a long half-life and offer further prospects for clinical application. At present, the neuroprotection of GLP-1 analogues in Alzheimer's disease (AD) has just begun to be explored.
Objectives: To investigate how glucagon-like peptide-1 (liraglutide) plays a protective role in AD by regulating tau activation and BACE1 expression.

Previous studies have demonstrated that the C-terminal of E1A binding proteins (CtBPs) influences tumorigenesis by participating in cell signal transduction in various human malignancies. However, the detailed expression patterns of CtBP isoforms in human osteosarcoma (OS) and the molecular mechanisms of CtBP involvement in tumor cell phenotypes requires further investigation. In the present study, the expression patterns of CtBP2 in OS cells and tissues were explored by immunohistochemistry.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the major type of lung malignancy with increasing incidence worldwide. Despite progression in diagnosis and management of NSCLC, the patients' survival rate is still unfavorable. Accumulating data have shown that circular RNAs (circRNAs) act as key roles in oncogenesis.

A label-free DNA hybridization electrochemical sensor for the detection of Klebsiella pneumoniae was developed, which could be helpful in the diagnosis of bacterial infections. Indole-5-carboxylic acid (ICA) and graphene oxide (GO) were electrodeposited on a glassy carbon electrode, and the resulting reduced GO (rGO)-ICA hybrid film served as a platform for immobilizing oligonucleotides on a single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) sequence. The conditions were optimized, with excellent electrochemical performance.

The assembly of quantum dots (QDs) in a simply method opens up opportunities to obtain access to the full potential of assembled QDs by virtue of the collective properties of the ensembles. In this study, quantum dots CdTe and graphene (Gr) nanocomposite was constructed for the simultaneous determination of uric acid (UA) and dopamine (DA). The CdTe QDs-Gr nanocomposite was prepared by ultrasonication and was characterized with microscopic techniques.
