[Jinghuaweikang capsules combined with Quadruple therapy in the treatment of infection:a multicenter,randomized,controlled,clinical study].

To explore the efficacy of Jinghuaweikang capsules combined with Quadruple therapy in the treatment of ()infection. Patients who were infected with in 7 centers in Gansu Province were recruited in this prospective simple randomized study. All the patients are divided into four groups randomly: patients in Group A1 were treated with esomeprazole (20 mg, twice a day) + pectin bismuth (200 mg, three times a day) + amoxicillin (1 000 mg, twice a day) + clarithromycin (500 mg, twice a day), while Group A2 with Jinghuaweikang capsules(160 mg, three times a day) based on group A2, Group B1 with esomeprazole (20 mg, twice a day) + bismuth pectin (200 mg, three times a day) + amoxicillin (1 000 mg, twice a day) + furazolidone (100 mg, twice a day) and Group B2 with Jinghuaweikang capsules(160 mg, three times a day) based on group B2.

Background: PIWI-like protein 1 (PIWIL1) is an important member of the Argonaute protein family and is closely related to the malignant behaviors of tumor cells. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between PIWIL1 and gastric cancer (GC).

Methods: We investigated PIWIL1 expression status in GC tissues as well as its association with clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis of GC patients.

Background Clinical evidence indicates that genetic variations may interfere with the mechanism of drug action. Recently, it has been reported that the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of STAT4, PTPN2, PSORS1C1 and TRAF3IP2RA genes are associated with the clinical efficacy of tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitors in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. Therefore, the detection of the SNPs linked with TNF inhibitor efficacy may provide an important basis for the treatment of RA.

Male infertility affects approximately 7% of the male population. In about 40% of affected patients, the etiology remains unknown. Here, we report the cases of two infertile brothers who have a uniquely prevalent sperm phenotype with completely amorphous sperm heads.

Background: Immunotherapy is emerging as a new treatment strategy for gastric cancer(GC). However, the efficacy and safety of this technique remain unclear. This meta-analysis aimed to assess the effect of cytokine-induced killer cell (CIK)/dendritic cell-cytokine-induced killer cell (DC-CIK) treatment for GC after surgery.

Psychological assessment in 355 Chinese college students with androgenetic alopecia.

Although the association of the psychological problems and androgenetic alopecia (AGA) gained the increasing attention, the psychosocial state in college students with AGA remains unknown. We recruited a total number of 355 college students with AGA from 18 universities in Southern China for interview. The Symptom Checklist-90-R (SCL-90-R) survey was used to assess the psychological state of these students.

Effect of dendritic cell-based immunotherapy on hepatocellular carcinoma: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background Aims: Dendritic cell (DC)-based immunotherapy has recently been reported frequently in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC); however, its efficacy remains controversial. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the clinical efficacy of DC-based immunotherapy on HCC by conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Methods: PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase and Web of Science were searched to identify clinical trials on DC-based immunotherapy for HCC published up to January 31, 2018.

Pre-B-cell leukemia homeobox 3 (PBX3) is upregulated in various malignancies; however, the role of PBX3 in cervical cancer (CC) is unknown. The purpose of this study was to explore the expression characteristics, clinicopathological significance, and molecular biological function of PBX3 in CC. The expression levels of PBX3 were analyzed in CC cell lines and tumor specimens by real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), Western blotting, and immunohistochemical staining.

The relationships between PIWIL1 expression and clinicopathological features of colorectal cancer (CRC) patients were analyzed by us. Survival analysis was performed using the Kaplan-Meier method and Cox's proportional hazards model.

Background: In Streptococcus mutans, ComCDE, a peptide-induced two-component signal transduction system, forms a closed signal transduction, and even if difunctional ComE closes this signal at its headstream to avoid its infinite amplification, it is not enough for ComE to work in a concentration-dependent manner. CslAB has a chance to regulate ComCDE by controlling extracellular competence-stimulating peptide (CSP) concentration through its processing and secretion.

Objectives: To first confirm the binding properties of cslAB promoter (PcslAB) with ComE, then to uncover in vivo need of cslAB expression, and finally to unveil the role of CslAB.

Matrine, a major alkaloid extracted from Sophora flavescens, has been reported to possess antitumor properties in several types of cancers, including gastric cancer. However, its mechanisms of action on gastric cancer remain poorly understood. Dysregulation of microRNAs, a class of small, non-coding, regulatory RNA molecules involved in gene expression, is strongly correlated with cancer.

[Comparison of hand-assisted laparoscopic surgery and open surgery for portal hypertension: a meta-analysis].

Methods: Relevant literature was retrieved from databases including PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Chinese Biomedical Literature Database, Chinese Journal Full Text Database, Chinese Vip Datebase, and Chinese Wanfang.

Methods: From December, 2005 to December, 2007, 255 crown fracture teeth were chosen as the object of study. The sex, age, teeth position, fracture position and occlusal state of patients were analyzed.

Objective: To investigate the effect of butyrylchitosan on the expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen ( PCNA) in fibroblast proliferation of rabbit eyes after filtering operation.

Methods: Twenty-four New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into 2 groups, with 12 rabbits in each group. Rabbits in one group received butyrylchitosan under scleral patch of trabeculectomy in right eyes and trabeculectomy in left eyes (trabeculectomy group).
