Most randomized trials for acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) have investigated highly selected patients under idealized conditions, and the findings need to be validated in the real world. We conducted a population-based study of all APL patients in Zhejiang Province, China, with a total population of 82 million people, to assess the generalization of all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) and arsenic as front-line treatment. The outcomes of APL patients were also analyzed.

Opioids are the last option for the pharmacological treatment of neuropathic pain, but their antinociceptive effects are limited. Decreased mu opioid receptor (MOR) expression in the peripheral nervous system may contribute to this. Here, we showed that nerve injury induced hypermethylation of the gene promoter and an increased expression of methyl-CpG binding protein 2 (MeCP2) in injured dorsal root ganglion (DRG).

Objective: Total knee and hip arthroplasty are one of the most commonly consistently successful surgeries in orthopedics worldwide. Literature has reported that depending upon the age and co-existing treatments, patients undergoing total knee and hip arthroplasty are often prone to increased risks of developing venous thromboembolic complications. In such cases, chemoprophylaxis with either direct oral anticoagulant therapy with factor-Xa inhibitors (i.

Emerging data have revealed that CD95 can evoke non-apoptotic signals, thereby promoting pro-inflammatory functions that link to the severity of autoimmune disorders. Here, we reported that the expression of CD95 in CD4 effector memory T (CD4 TEM) cells was increased in myasthenia gravis (MG) patients. We also found increased expression of CD95 in CD4 TEM cells from MG patients correlated positively with clinical severity scores (QMGs), serum IL-17 levels and plasma cells (PCs) frequencies.

INTS6 promotes colorectal cancer progression by activating of AKT and ERK signaling.

Exp Cell Res

October 2021

CAS Key Laboratory of Nutrition, Metabolism and Food Safety, Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China. Electronic address:

INTS6 (integrator complex subunit 6) has been reported as a tumor suppressor in many cancers. However, the expression and biological function of INTS6 in colorectal cancer (CRC) has not been investigated yet. In this study, we found that INTS6 expression was significantly increased in CRC tissues when compared with normal tissues and was associated with poor prognosis.

Objective: Despite generally favorable outcomes following knee arthroscopy, a certain subset of patients inevitably develops progression of knee disease, necessitating subsequent total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Therefore, the evaluation of TKA outcomes following arthroscopy has emerged as a major area of research. The aim of the current review is to measure the impact of prior arthroscopy on functional and adverse outcomes following TKA.
