Objective: To examine the diagnostic efficacy of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) with Sonazoid (Sonazoid-CEUS) for endometrial lesions.

Methods: In this prospective and multicenter study, data were collected from 84 patients with endometrial lesions from 11 hospitals in China. All the patients received a conventional US and Sonazoid-CEUS examination.

Promise and challenges of traditional Chinese medicine, specifically , in liver cancer treatment.

Liver cancer, one of the most common malignancies worldwide, ranks sixth in incidence and third in mortality. Liver cancer treatment options are diverse, including surgical resection, liver transplantation, percutaneous ablation, transarterial chemoembolization, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). A multidisciplinary team (MDT) is essential to customize treatment plans based on tumor staging, liver function, and performance status (PS), ensuring individualized patient care.

Calf circumference was negatively associated with all-cause mortality among the Chinese centenarians: a prospective study with a 5-year follow-up.

Background: Sarcopenia is an aging-related disorder characterized by a loss of muscle mass and function. Calf circumference (CC) is a useful surrogate marker of muscle mass and function. This prospective study was designed to investigate the association between CC and all-cause mortality during a follow-up for 5 years in the Chinese centenarians.

Establishment and verification of a nomogram that predicts the risk for coronary slow flow.

Background: Coronary slow flow (CSF) has gained significance as a chronic coronary artery disease, but few studies have integrated both biological and anatomical factors for CSF assessment. This study aimed to develop and validate a simple-to-use nomogram for predicting CSF risk by combining biological and anatomical factors.

Methods: In this retrospective case-control study, 1042 patients (614 CSF cases and 428 controls) were randomly assigned to the development and validation cohorts at a 7:3 ratio.

Ultrasound identification of hepatic echinococcosis using a deep convolutional neural network model in China: a retrospective, large-scale, multicentre, diagnostic accuracy study.

Background: Ultrasonography is the most widely used technique to diagnose echinococcosis; however, challenges in using this technique and the demand on medical resources, especially in low-income or remote areas, can delay diagnosis. We aimed to develop a deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) model based on ultrasonography to identify echinococcosis and its types, especially alveolar echinococcosis.

Methods: This retrospective, large-scale, multicentre study used ultrasound images from patients assessed at 84 hospitals in China, obtained between Jan 1, 2002, and Dec 31, 2021.

Allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation with decitabine-containing preconditioning regimen in TP53-mutant myelodysplastic syndromes: A case study.

Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) with TP53 mutations has a poor prognosis after transplantation, and novel therapeutic means are urgently needed. Decitabine (Dec) monotherapy has demonstrated improved overall response rates in MDS and acute myeloid leukaemia, although these responses were not durable. This study aimed to preliminary evaluate the efficacy of a Dec-containing allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) preconditioning regimen in TP53-mutant MDS.

Robotic and laparoscopic right anterior sectionectomy and central hepatectomy: multicentre propensity score-matched analysis.

Both robotic and laparoscopic right anterior sectionectomy and central hepatectomy can be performed safely in expert centres, with excellent outcomes. The robotic approach was associated with statistically significant less blood loss compared with laparoscopy, although the clinical relevance of this finding remains unclear.

Diagnostic Accuracy of PET for Differentiating True Glioma Progression From Post Treatment-Related Changes: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of PET with different radiotracers and parameters in differentiating between true glioma progression (TPR) and post treatment-related change (PTRC). Studies on using PET to differentiate between TPR and PTRC were screened from the PubMed and Embase databases. By following the PRISMA checklist, the quality assessment of included studies was performed, the true positive and negative values (TP and TN), false positive and negative values (FP and FN), and general characteristics of all the included studies were extracted.

Clinical and Radiological Features of Patients With Pulmonary Cryptococcosis in a Hospital of North China.

Objective:  The increasing incidence has led to more focus on pulmonary cryptococcosis in HIV-negative patients. We conducted a retrospective analysis of pulmonary cryptococcosis to understand the clinical characteristics, imaging features, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of this disease in HIV-negative patients in respiratory department of a tertiary hospital in north China.

Method: We identified retrospectively those diagnosed with pulmonary cryptococcosis in the first medical center of Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital since 2009 to 2019.

Prognostic model for identifying candidates for hepatectomy among patients with hepatocellular carcinoma and hepatic vein invasion.

Background: Hepatic vein tumour thrombus (HVTT) is a major determinant of survival outcomes for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). An Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital (EHBH)-HVTT model was established to predict the prognosis of patients with HCC and HVTT after liver resection, in order to identify optimal candidates for liver resection.

Methods: Patients with HCC and HVTT from 15 hospitals in China were included.
