We investigated the current state and trends in the area during the previous 10 years using bibliometric approaches to evaluate the global scientific output of research on electroactive materials and spinal cord injury. Studies on spinal cord injury in electroactive materials that were published between 2012 and 2022 were located using the Web of science (WOS) datebase. The software programs bibliometrix R-package and CiteSpace were used to do quantitative analyses of annual publications, nation, author, institution, journal source, co-cited references, and keywords.

Background: Mass-like (ML) and non-mass-like (NML) are two manifestations of breast lesions on ultrasound. Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) can make up for the limitation of B-ultrasound (US) in the observation of focal blood flow, and shear wave elastography (SWE) can supplement the hardness information of the lesion. The present study aimed to analyze the characteristic manifestations of US, CEUS, and SWE in NML and ML breast and evaluate whether the diagnostic performance of these three ultrasound techniques differs in terms of differentiating between benign and malignant breast lesions.

Article Synopsis
  • The study compares proteomic differences between mass-like (ML) and non-mass-like (NML) breast lesions to better understand NML ultrasonic characteristics.
  • Tissue samples from 37 patients were analyzed using quantitative mass spectrometry, revealing 623 and 167 differentially expressed proteins in malignant and benign groups, respectively.
  • The results indicate that the TNF signaling pathway is linked to the ultrasonic characteristics of breast lesions, with the protein MP2K3 showing significant upregulation in both malignant and benign groups.

Objective: This study was performed to develop a murine model of elastase-induced proximal thoracic aortic aneurysms (PTAAs).

Methods: The ascending thoracic aorta and aortic arch of adult C57BL/6J male mice were exposed through a midline incision in the anterior neck, followed by peri-adventitial elastase or saline application. The maximal ascending thoracic aorta diameter was measured with high-resolution micro-ultrasound.

Objective: To explore the values of neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet to lymphocyte ratio (PLR), neutrophil to albumin ratio (NAR), prognostic nutritional index (PNI), systemic immune inflammatory index (SII) and red cell distribution width to albumin ratio (RA) for evaluating the risk of 30-day mortality of ischemic stroke or hemorrhagic stroke patients.

Methods: In this cohort study, the data of 1,601 patients diagnosed with stroke were extracted from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care III (MIMIC-III) database. Among them, 908 were hemorrhagic stroke patients and 693 were ischemic stroke patients.

Background: Stroke volume variation (SVV) and pulse pressure variation (PPV) are based on the interaction between the heart and lungs during mechanical ventilation. However, debate continues as to whether SVV and PPV can accurately predict fluid responsiveness during the one-lung ventilation (OLV). We therefore undertook a systematic review and meta-analysis of clinical trials that investigated the diagnostic value of SVV and PPV in predicting fluid responsiveness undergoing OLV during thoracic surgery.

Objective: The aim of this study was to determine whether the addition of esketamine to morphine would improve postoperative analgesia after cesarean section.

Methods: Parturients who planned for a cesarean delivery using combined spinal-epidural anesthesia with a request for postoperative anesthesia were randomly divided into four groups (A, B, C, and D). When the surgery was completed, the parturients in groups A, B, C, and D were administered 2 mg morphine, 0.

Objective: To determine whether intraoperative transfusion of allogeneic or autologous blood is associated with an increased incidence of postoperative delirium (POD) after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) and total hip arthroplasty (THA).

Methods: The medical records of 1,143 older (≥65 years old) patients who received an intraoperative blood transfusion while undergoing total knee or hip arthroplasty at the First Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital from 2014 to 2019 were reviewed; of these patients, 742 (64.92%) received allogeneic blood, while 401 (35.

Objective: To explore the characteristics and dynamic evolution of cognitive impairment in patients with neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). Methods: Twenty-five patients with acute NMOSD and 30 age-matched healthy individuals were consecutively recruited in this study. The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), Chinese Version of Rey Auditory Vocabulary Learning Test (CRAVLT), Verbal Fluency Test (VFT), Digital Span Test (DST), Paced Auditory Serial Addition Task 3/2s version (PASAT-3/2), Rey−Osterrieth Complex Figure Test (ROCF) and Stroop Color and Word Test (CWT) were used to evaluate cognitive function.

Cardiac troponin I (cTnI) is the biomarker of choice and considered a gold standard for the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction. However, the quantitative results of cTnI assay kits from different manufacturers are not comparable. Based on the H/D exchange mass spectrometry (HDX-MS) workflow, we developed an in-vitro diagnostic reagent antibody evaluation strategy to analyze the interactions of epitopes and antibody cocktails─(R195, F12, S13) and (D1, D2, pAb2).

To investigate and compare 2 cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) correction methods for CBCT-based dose calculation. Routine CBCT image sets of 12 head and neck cancer patients who received volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) treatment were retrospectively analyzed. The CBCT images obtained using an on-board imager (OBI) at the first treatment fraction were firstly deformable registered and padded with the kVCT images to provide enough anatomical information about the tissues for dose calculation.

Advances in the Diagnosis and Treatment of a Driving Target: RET Rearrangements in non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) Especially in China.

Technol Cancer Res Treat

January 2023

Department of Oncology, The First Medical Center of PLA General Hospital, Graduate School, Medical College of Chinese PLA, Beijing, China.

In the era of precision medicine, with the deepening of the research on malignant tumor driving genes, clinical oncology has fully entered the era of targeted therapy. For non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC), the development of targeted drugs targeting driver genes, such as epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK), has successfully opened up a new model of targeted therapy. At present, proto-oncogene rearranged during transfection (RET) fusion gene is an important novel oncogenic driving target, and specific receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) targeting RET fusion have been approved.
