In this paper, we propose a "reciprocal strategy" that, on the one hand, explores the ability of solid-state nanopores in a homogeneous high-fidelity characterization of nucleic acid assembly and, on the other hand, the formed nucleic acid assembly with a large size serves as an amplifier to provide a highly distinguished and anti-interference signal for molecular sensing. Four-hairpin hybridization chain reaction (HCR) with G-rich tail tags is taken as the proof-of-concept demonstration. G-rich tail tags are commonly used to form G-quadruplex signal probes on the side chain of HCR duplex concatemers.

Objective: To investigate the efficacy of fluorouracil (FU) combined with paclitaxel (PTX) and oxaliplatin (OXA) as the first-line treatment for advanced gastric signet ring cell carcinoma (SRCC) and its influence on human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER-2) expression.
Methods: We collected one hundred and sixty-eight patients with advanced gastric SRCC, including 87 patients treated with FU combined with PTX and OXA as the study group (SG) and 81 patients treated with FU combined with OXA as the control group (CG). We compared indicators such as efficacy and adverse reactions after treatment between the two groups and also detected serum HER-2 expression pre- and post-treatment.

Discs large homolog 5 (DLG5), a key member of the membrane-associated guanylate kinase (MAGUKs) family, is a scaffold molecule for signal transduction complexes and is responsible for assembling receptors and adapters. This scaffold protein stabilizes adhesion and tight bonding complexes in many organs and tissues, and is involved of maintaining epithelial polarity. Although DLG5 plays a role in normal development in mice, it has also been linked to the onset and development of several diseases, particularly Crohn's disease and various malignancies.

Fatty liver disease is one of the most prevalent chronic liver disease worldwide and the gut-liver axis is recognized as increasingly prominent in fatty liver disease. Intestinal dysfunction can affect the occurrence or progression of liver disease, therein, validating the critical role of the intestinal immune cells. Enormous literature reported that macrophages, lymphocyte, dendritic cells (DCs) and other immune cells in the gut as well as their subsets may regulate the fatty liver disease progression via different mechanisms, including disruption of intestinal barrier, dysregulation of intestinal lipid transporters and mediating immune cell migration to liver.

In this study, a facile method has been developed to synthesize a novel type of porous magnetic molecularly imprinted polymers (FeO-MER-MMIPs) for the selective adsorption and removal of meropenem. The FeO-MER-MMIPs, with abundant functional groups and sufficient magnetism for easy separation, are prepared in aqueous solutions. The porous carriers reduce the overall mass of the MMIPs, greatly improving their adsorption capacity per unit mass and optimizing the overall value of the adsorbents.

It has been shown that long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) LINC00659 was markedly upregulated in the peripheral blood of patients with deep venous thrombosis (DVT). However, the function of LINC00659 in lower extremity DVT (LEDVT) remains to be largely unrevealed. A total of 30 inferior vena cava (IVC) tissue samples and peripheral blood (60 ml per subject) were obtained from LEDVT patients (n = 15) and healthy donors (n = 15), and then LINC00659 expression was detected by RT-qPCR.

The molecular mechanism of network regulation in the occurrence and development of colorectal cancer (CRC) has been constantly improved. Here, we investigated the biological effects of TEAD4-MAD2L1 axis on proliferation and metastasis of human CRC cells. This study revealed that the expressions of MAD2L1 and TEAD4 in CRC tissues and CRC cell lines were significantly higher than those in adjacent epithelial tissues and normal intestinal epithelial cell line NCM460, and their expressions were significantly positively correlated; Moreover, inhibiting the expression of MAD2L1 or TEAD4 can inhibit the proliferation and migration of CRC cells and promote apoptosis.
