Background: Minimally invasive surgeries are increasingly central to modern medicine, particularly in liver transplantation. These techniques, which offer reduced trauma, precise operations, minimal bleeding, and swift recovery, are, however, unevenly adopted across China. Only a limited number of centers routinely perform minimally invasive donor hepatectomies, indicating a significant imbalance in the development and application of these advanced procedures.

Nonlinear multimode imaging is a versatile tool to realize complex structural and compositional information of biological samples. In this study, we presented a novel integrated multimode nonlinear optical microscopy system by using an Er3 + -doped femtosecond fiber laser. The system could perform second harmonic generation (SHG), third harmonic generation (THG), and three-photon fluorescence (3PEF) imaging modes simultaneously.

Background: While acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is widely recognized as the primary cause of Cardiogenic Shock (CS), Non-AMI related CS has been excluded from the majority of CS studies. Information on its prognostic factors remains largely understudied, and it is necessary to focus on these patients to identify the specific risk factors. In this study, we aimed to build and validate a predictive nomogram and risk classification system.

Successful cannulation of the papilla is crucial for the effectiveness of ERCP; however, sometimes, it can be challenging to achieve. This study explores the relationship between net difficult ERCP cannulation with bile visibility, papilla orifice visibility, and papilla position and compares it with successful cannulation.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most common and aggressive malignant tumor of the central nervous system, characterized by high morbidity and invasive potential, necessitating urgent development of novel therapeutic strategies. Studies have shown that colony stimulating factor-1 receptor (CSF1R) is abnormally expressed in a variety of solid tumors, which is closely related to the development of tumor cells. In this study, the CSF1R/cell membrane Chromatographic model was successfully constructed, and was used to screen active compounds targeting CSF1R from more than 60 compounds.

: Ischemia-reperfusion-induced acute kidney injury (IR-AKI), characterized by the abrupt decline in renal function, is distinguished by the intricate interplay between oxidative stress and inflammation. In this study, a reactive oxygen species (ROS) scavenger-CF@PDA was developed to effectively target antioxidant and anti-inflammatory pathways to disrupt the oxidative stress-inflammation cycle in IR-AKI. : UV-vis absorption spectra, FTIR spectra, and TEM were employed to determine the successful construction of CF@P.

Background: Ovarian cancer is a type of gynecological cancer with extremely high fatality rate. Ferroptosis, an iron-dependent regulated cell death, inhibits the immune infiltration of tumor cells. Therefore, it is worthwhile to explore the effects of ferroptosis-related gene signatures and immune infiltration patterns on the clinical prognosis of ovarian cancer.

Background: Fever of unknown origin (FUO) is a significant challenge for the medical community due to its association with a wide range of diseases, the complexity of diagnosis, and the likelihood of misdiagnosis. Machine learning can extract valuable information from the extensive data of patient indicators, aiding doctors in diagnosing the underlying cause of FUO.
Objective: The study aims to design a multipath hierarchical classification algorithm to diagnose FUO due to the hierarchical structure of the etiology of FUO.

20-hydroxyecdysone (20E), a natural polyhydroxylated steroid, has exhibited anti-inflammatory effects across various diseases. This study investigates the potential connection between 20E's anti-inflammatory properties and the RNA-binding protein Lin28b, which is notably upregulated in TNF-α-stimulated endothelial cells. Herein, we discovered that 20E can selectively downregulate Lin28b expression without affecting its paralog Lin28a.

The optimal method for administering meropenem remains controversial. This study was conducted to explore the optimal two-step infusion strategy (TIT), and to investigate whether TIT is superior to intermittent infusion therapy (IIT) and prolonged infusion therapy (PIT). A physiologically based pharmacokinetics model for critically ill patients was established and evaluated.

Drug package inserts are a crucial foundation for clinical medication practices and serve as the legal basis for guiding rational drug use and ensuring patient safety and efficacy. As rare disease treatments evolve, current package inserts often need to meet the clinical requirements for treating such conditions, frequently resulting in off-label drug use. This consensus is derived from discussions between Guangdong Pharmaceutical Association Hematologic Rare Diseases Group experts.

To achieve effective long-term synergistic treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) with probiotics, we developed a versatile inulin/trans-ferulic acid/silk sericin nanoparticles-nourished probiotic complex. Inulin/TFA/SS nanoparticles were fabricated by inulin, trans-ferulic acid (TFA), and silk sericin (SS), and then loaded onto the surface of poly-l-lysine (PLL) and poly-glutamic acid (PGA)-coated Bifidobacterium longum (BL) to obtain BL@PLL-PGA-Inulin/TFA/SS NPs (BL@PP-NPs). This design simultaneously endowed the complex with excellent gastrointestinal resistance, antioxidant, and anti-inflammation abilities.

Objective: Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a debilitating condition that often results in paralysis and lifelong medical challenges. Research has shown that epigenetic modifications, particularly histone acetylation, play a role in neuroprotection following hypoxic-ischemic events in SCI. The objective of this study was to explore the effects of histone H3K27 acetylation, along with its underlying mechanisms, on the tolerance to hypoxia and ischemia in SCI.

53BP1 plays an important role in DNA double-strand break (DSB) repair and this activity is negatively regulated by its interaction with Tudor interacting repair regulator (TIRR). However, how the TIRR-53BP1 repair axis is regulated in response to DNA damage remains elusive. Here, we demonstrate that TIRR is translocated to the cytoplasm and degraded upon DNA damage.
