Background: The non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (NHHR) is a newly developed lipid parameter that's used to evaluate cardiovascular disease risk. However, its association with sarcopenia risk has not been explored before.
Methods: Data on NHHR and sarcopenia were based on the secondary analysis of the years 2011-2018 of National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) dataset.

Background: Coronavirus disease (COVID)-19 can lead to chronic lung damage and respiratory issues, potentially increasing surgical difficulty and risk for patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, the impacts of a COVID-19 history on early outcomes in NSCLC patients remain controversial.
Objectives: To evaluate the effect of COVID-19 history on early outcomes in NSCLC patients and identify high-risk groups undergoing radical resection based on the largest Chinese multi-center real-world data to date.

Background: There are few proven treatments for acute spontaneous intracerebral haemorrhage, and they all target reducing expansion of the haematoma. The traditional Chinese medicine FYTF-919 (Zhongfeng Xingnao) in an oral solution is comprised of several Chinese herbs that are widely used to treat patients with intracerebral haemorrhage in China on the understanding that they enhance resorption of the haematoma and reduce neuroinflammation. We aimed to provide a reliable assessment of the safety and efficacy of FYTF-919 in patients with moderate to severe acute intracerebral haemorrhage.

Previous studies confirmed the regenerative capacity of the mammalian neonatal heart. We recently found that adult heart tissue-derived EVs can protect the heart from myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (I/R). However, the role of EVs from neonatal heart tissue in cardiac healing post-ischemia remains unclear.

To analyze the influencing factors of ureteral stenosis after ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy. The clinical data of 427 patients treated with ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy were selected, and the patients were divided into two groups based on the presence or absence of ureteral stenosis after the operation. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression were used to analyze the independent risk factors for postoperative ureteral stenosis, and R software and regression coefficients were used to construct a predictive model.

Background: Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is an aging-related progressive lung disorder. The aged lung undergoes functional and structural changes termed immunosenescence and inflammaging, which facilitate the occurrence of fibrosis. Interleukin-10 (IL-10) is a potent anti-inflammatory and immunoregulatory cytokine, yet it remains unclear how IL-10 deficiency-induced immunosenescence participates in the development of PF.

Gastric cancer (GC), the third most lethal cancer worldwide, is often diagnosed at an advanced stage, leaving limited therapeutic options. Given the diverse outcomes among GC patients with similar AJCC/UICC-TNM characteristics, there is a pressing need for more reliable prognostic tools. Recent advances in targeted therapy and immunotherapy have underscored this necessity.

Purpose: Kidney transplantation is the optimal treatment for patients with end-stage kidney disease. Donor-specific urinary extracellular vesicles (uEVs) hold potential as biomarkers for assessing allograft status. We aimed to develop a method for identifying donor-specific uEVs based on human leukocyte antigen (HLA) mismatching with the kidney transplant recipients (KTRs).

Background: Fractures heal through a process that involves angiogenesis and osteogenesis but may also lead to non-union or delayed healing. Bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) have been reported to play a pivotal role in bone formation and vascular regeneration and the p75 neurotrophin receptor (p75NTR) as being an important regulator of osteogenesis. Herein, we aim to determine the potential mediation of BMSCs by p75NTR in bone healing.
