Large-wound treatment often requires autologous skin grafting or skin flap transfer, causing iatrogenic secondary injuries. Thus, we have developed an automatic wound closure system that consists of a stretch module, microcontroller, and touch screen. Full-thickness wounds (8 × 14 cm) on Bama miniature pigs were manually closed by direct suture in control animals and with three different tension levels performed by the automatic device in the experimental animals.

Purpose: Somatostatin Receptor 2 (SSTR2)-targeted radiopharmaceutical [Ga]Ga-DOTATATE has potential advantages in the diagnosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). This study introduces a novel long-lasting SSTR2 analogue, LNC1010, based on DOTATATE, a truncated Evans blue-binding moiety, and a polyethylene-glycol linker. We hypothesised that peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) is more effective with [Lu]Lu-LNC1010 than with [Lu]Lu-DOTATATE in treating metastatic NPC.

Background And Purpose: Previous studies predicting the rupture risk of intracranial aneurysms (IAs) have predominantly utilized static imaging data, overlooking the dynamic blood flow and biomechanical properties of the aneurysm wall. Irregular pulsation detected by 4D-CTA is a potential predictor of aneurysm rupture, albeit with uncertain clinical significance. This study aimed to analyze the changes in morpho-hemodynamic characteristics of IAs during the cardiac cycle to elucidate the dynamic changes and the associated hemodynamic mechanisms.

Introduction: Endometriosis (EM) is a chronic estrogen-dependent condition characterized by the growth of endometrial-like tissue outside the uterus, posing a significant burden on reproductive-aged women. Previous research has shown a correlation between gut microbiota dysbiosis and interleukin-17A (IL-17A) in EM patients. IL-17A, a promising immunomodulatory molecule, exerts dual roles in human physiology, driving inflammatory diseases.

Organophosphate esters (OPEs) are widely used as flame retardants and plasticizers, which are of growing concern due to their endocrine-disrupting effects, developmental toxicity, and potential carcinogenicity. However, data on human exposure to OPEs is still scarce. In this study, a relatively simple and efficient method with less serum consumption for the detection of OPEs in human serum was developed and validated.

Confining luminophores into modified hydrophilic matrices or polymers is a straightforward and widely used approach for afterglow bioimaging. However, the afterglow quantum yield and lifetime of the related material remain unsatisfactory, severely limiting the using effect especially for deep-tissue time-resolved imaging. This fact largely stems from the dilemma between material biocompatibility and the quenching effect of water environment.

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are predominately induced by KIT mutants. In this study, we found that four and a half LIM domains 2 (FHL2) was highly expressed in GISTs and KIT signaling dramatically increased FHL2 transcription while FHL2 inhibited KIT transcription. In addition, our results showed that FHL2 associated with KIT and increased the ubiquitination of both wild-type KIT and primary KIT mutants in GISTs, leading to decreased expression and activation of KIT although primary KIT mutants were less inhibited by FHL2 than wild-type KIT.

Background And Purpose: Irregular pulsation of the aneurysmal wall has been suggested as a novel predictor for aneurysm rupture. Aneurysm volume variations during the cardiac cycle and the association between irregular pulsation and morphological features have been discussed, but the clinical significance remains unclear. The purpose of this study was to quantify changes in morphological characteristics over the cardiac cycle and examine their correlation with irregular pulsation to facilitate comprehension of aneurysm dynamics.

Osteoporotic fractures represent the most severe complications of osteoporosis, characterized by insidious onset, high mortality and disability rates, and a steadily increasing incidence, imposing a significant socioeconomic burden. Western medicine has advantages in diagnosis and surgical interventions, while traditional Chinese medicine excels in holistic management and the restoration of bodily equilibrium. The integration of both traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and western medicine emerges as an effective therapeutic strategy for osteoporotic fractures.

Background: Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) protein is overexpressed on the surface of various epithelial ovarian cancer tissues, mediates the proliferation, differentiation, metastasis, and signal transduction of tumor cells, and thus is a potential cancer therapeutic target. However, its research in ovarian cancer is still limited, and how to quickly obtain a large number of antibodies remains a concern for researchers.
Methods: In this study, we expressed the recombinant anti-HER2 humanized monoclonal antibody (rhHER2-mAb) in human embryonic kidney 293 (HEK293) cells through transient gene expression (TGE) technology by constructing a mammalian cell expression vector.

Prediction of individual ovarian response to exogenous gonadotropin is a cornerstone for success and safety in all controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) protocols. Providing the best FSH starting dose according to each woman's own characteristics is the key to the success of individualized treatment. The objective of this investigation was to evaluate the potential application of a novel nomogram based on antral follicle counting (AFC), anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) and body mass index (BMI) as a tool to optimize the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) starting dose in women with poor ovarian response in in-vitro fertilization (IVF)/intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) cycles in progestin-primed ovarian stimulation (PPOS).
