The endothelium-dependent vascular injury, a primary pathological feature of angiotensin II (Ang II)-induced hypertension. This study aimed to explore the role and underlying mechanisms of G protein-coupled receptor 39 (GPR39) in the pathogenesis of Ang II-induced hypertension. For in vivo studies, GPR39 knockout (KO) mice (C57BL/6 J, male) were generated and administered Ang II for 4 weeks.

Aging is an intricate and gradual process characterized by tissue and cellular dysfunction. Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADMSCs) experience a functional decline as part of systemic aging. However, the alterations in ADMSCs across various anatomical sites throughout an individual's lifespan remain unclear.

Copper-induced cell death is regulated through protein lipoylation, which is critical for gene expression and phenotypic regulation. Neverless, the role of Cuproptosis-related genes in breast cancer (BC) remains unknown. This study aimed to construct a prognostic signature based on the expression of Cuproptosis-related genes in order to guide the diagnosis and treatment for BC.

Chemical burns of the rectum are so rare that there are few cases reported about this situation. In fact, chemical burns of the rectum can cause severe serious consequence, such as bleeding, perforation and necrosis, even developing to persistent rectal stricture. Here we present a case report of a 12-year-old child with rectal stenosis who imitates the use of corkage and inserts rust remover into the rectum unsupervised by family members.

The preoperative identification of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) treatment responsiveness in breast cancer (BC) patients is advantageous for tailoring treatment regimens. There is a relative scarcity in the current research exploring NAC treatment responsive biomarkers using bulk sequencing data obtained from fine-needle aspiration (FNA). Limma was employed for the selection of differentially expressed genes.

Objectives: To investigate the feasibility of synthetic magnetic resonance imaging (syMRI) in predicting the lymphatic vascular space invasion (LVSI) status of early-stage cervical cancer, and its added value to morphological MRI.
Materials And Methods: A total of 72 patients with pathology-confirmed early-stage cervical cancer were enrolled, and classified into LVSI- positive (n=41) and LVSI- negative (n=31) groups. Together with morphological parameters including gross tumor volume (GTV) and maximum tumor diameter (MTD), the T1, T2, and proton density (PD) values of the tumors were also measured and compared between two groups.

Background: Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a leading cause of severe illness in infants, with no effective treatment. Results of a phase 2 trial suggested that ziresovir may have efficacy in the treatment of infants hospitalized with RSV infection.
Methods: In a phase 3, multicenter, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial conducted in China, we enrolled participants 1 to 24 months of age who were hospitalized with RSV infection.
