Importance: Patients with Kawasaki disease (KD) experience various extracardiovascular injury complications, which may affect their outcomes.

Objective: To investigate the incidence and clinical characteristics of extracardiovascular complications in children with KD.

Methods: The clinical data of patients diagnosed with KD in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from January 2003 to January 2021 were reviewed.

Tubulin polymerization promoting protein family member 3 (TPPP3) is a kind of protein that can mediate the dynamics and stability of microtubules. However, the correlations of TPPP3 between prognosis and immune infiltrates in different tumors are still unclear. The analysis of TPPP3 expression was performed via Oncomine and Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis (GEPIA) website.

This delta brush variant (DBV) was characterized as generalized delta rhythm with fast spike activity riding on it.

Talaromycosis (Penicilliosis) Due to Talaromyces (Penicillium) marneffei: Insights into the Clinical Trends of a Major Fungal Disease 60 Years After the Discovery of the Pathogen.

Talaromycosis (penicilliosis) is a major fungal disease endemic across a narrow band of tropical countries of South and Southeast Asia. The etiologic agent is a thermally dimorphic fungus Talaromyces (Penicillium) marneffei, which was first isolated from a bamboo rat in Vietnam in 1956, but no formal description was published. In 1959, Professor Gabriel Segretain formally described it as a novel species Talaromyces (Penicillium) marneffei, and the human pathogenic potential of the fungus in Mycopathologia.

This study aimed to compare 6 months to 5 years stent thrombosis (ST) and adverse cardiovascular outcomes associated with sirolimus-eluting stents (SES) and other drug-eluting stents (DES) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Electronic databases were searched for studies comparing SES with other DES in patients with T2DM. Total ST, definite ST, probable ST, and other adverse cardiovascular outcomes reported between 6 months and 5 years were considered as the clinical end points in this study.

The E2F-1 transcription factor is post-translationally modified and stabilized in response to various forms of DNA damage to regulate the expression of cell-cycle and pro-apoptotic genes. The sustained overexpression of E2F-1 is a characteristic feature of gastric cancer. In this study, we investigated the role of short hairpin RNA (shRNA) targeting E2F-1 gene on human gastric cancer MGC-803 cell growth in vivo, and preliminarily revealed the mechanism.
