  • Inflammatory low back pain (IBP) is commonly associated with spondylarthritis (SpA) but can also be a symptom of various malignancies, both hematologic and solid tumors.
  • A study analyzed 34 patients diagnosed with malignancy-related IBP over the past decade, comparing their clinical features to a control group of patients with axial SpA.
  • Findings revealed that malignancy-related IBP patients had higher levels of inflammatory markers and a similar ratio of hematologic to solid tumors, suggesting that malignancies should be considered in differential diagnoses of IBP.

Information regarding the influence of resorption and glide paths on debris extrusion in primary teeth is lacking. Therefore, we evaluated debris extrusion with and without resorption and with and without the use of a path file in primary molar teeth prepared with ProTaper Ultimate (PTU) Prime and TruNatomy (TRN) Prime rotary file systems. Forty resorbed and forty non-resorbed primary molar teeth were collected.

Nail capillaroscopic examination is an inexpensive and easily applicable method to identify capillary morphological changes in patients with conditions such as systemic sclerosis and Raynaud's. The detection of changes in capillaries makes an important contribution to diagnosing these diseases. Capillary morphology is important in the symptoms of these diseases, and capillary diameter, visibility, distribution, length, microbleeds, blood flow, and density are important indicators in capillaroscopic evaluation.

  • - The study aimed to compare the fracture strength and modes of tooth post-cores made from modified polyetheretherketone (PEEK) using CAD-CAM technology against other custom post-cores like zirconia, metal, and glass fiber.
  • - Researchers used sixty human mandibular first premolars, dividing them into six groups (each with 10 teeth) to test and measure fracture strength by applying force at a specific angle and analyzing the results statistically.
  • - Results indicated a significant difference in fracture resistance; zirconia post-cores performed best compared to various PEEK-based groups, with zirconia showing a higher rate of repairable failure than others.

This study explores the applicability of the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis in the United States (US) from 2006 to 2020, employing the Spatial Durbin Model (SDM) to analyze the cross-border effects of pollution among states. The results indicate that although economic growth initially decreases environmental degradation, it subsequently contributes to more significant environmental degradation, challenging the EKC hypothesis's validity at the US state level. Factors such as higher energy prices and reliance on fossil fuels are also identified as significant drivers of environmental deterioration, with varying impacts observed across states.
