The purpose of this study was to summarize etiological characteristics and identify risk factors relevant to CRE bloodstream infection (BSI) and short-term mortality among pediatric patients in China.
Methods: In this study, we included 370 inpatients ≤17 years old with BSI caused by in China from January 2013 to December 2022.

Objective: To observe the effect of acupuncture exercise therapy synchronizing isokinetic muscle strength training on the motor function, stability and proprioception of knee joint, as well as the anxiety emotion in patients after meniscectomy under arthroscopy.
Methods: A total of 70 patients after meniscectomy under arthroscopy were randomized into an observation group (35 cases, 2 cases were eliminated, 2 cases dropped off) and a control group (35 cases, 2 cases were eliminated, 1 case dropped off). Acupuncture was applied at Chize (LU 5), Neixiyan (EX-LE 4), Dubi (ST 35),Yanglingquan (GB 34), etc.

Background: Bloodstream infection (BSI) caused by carbapenem resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae (CRKP), especially in elderly patients, results in higher morbidity and mortality. The purpose of this study was to assess risk factors associated with CRKP BSI and short-term mortality among elderly patients in China.
Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, we enrolled 252 inpatients aged ≥ 65 years with BSI caused by KP from January 2011 to December 2020 in China.

This study aimed to evaluate the anti-tumor effect of a new generation of protease inhibitor, oprozomib (OPZ), used alone and in combination with cisplatin, also called CDDP, on cervical cancer. Five different types of cervical cancer cell lines - HeLa, Caski, HeLa-CDDP, C33a, and SiHa - and one nontransformed cervical cell line - HaCaT -were treated with OPZ alone or in combination with cisplatin. The inhibitory effects of OPZ and cisplatin on the proliferation of cervical cancer cells were then analyzed using cytotoxicity tests, flow cytometry, and Western blotting.

Objective To elucidate how high-mobility group box 1 (HMGB1) exacerbates myocardial damage and infuences CD4, CD8 and Th17 T lymphocytes of spleen through Toll like receptor 4 (TLR4) in ischemia myocardial injury. Methods 30 wild-type (WT) and 30 TLR4 knockout (TLR4) C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into the control group, isoproterenol induced ischemia myocardial damage group (ISO) and ISO-rHMGB1 group. The cardiac function of mice was evaluated by echocardiography, and the pathological changes of myocardial tissue were observed by HE staining and Sirius red staining.

Cutaneous pili migrans and creeping eruption caused by parasitic diseases may present as a moving linear lesion in skin. The former, caused by a hair shaft or fragment embedded in the superficial skin or middle dermis, is a rare condition characterized by creeping eruption with a black line observed at the advancing end. In exceptionally rare instance, the hair grows inside the skin and burrows in the uppermost dermis, such a condition has been called "ingrown hair.
