Background: The World Health Organization has set a global strategy to eliminate cervical cancer, emphasizing the need for cervical cancer screening coverage to reach 70%. In response, China has developed an action plan to accelerate the elimination of cervical cancer, with Hubei province implementing China's first provincial full-coverage screening program using an artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud-based diagnostic system.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the performance of AI technology in this full-coverage screening program.

This study aimed to explore the association between inflammation-based prognostic markers and outcomes in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients undergoing therapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs). We conducted a comprehensive search of the Embase, PubMed, and Cochrane databases for studies that reported on the impact of inflammation-based prognostic factors, such as C-reactive protein (CRP), on the prognosis of NSCLC patients treated with ICIs. The primary outcomes of interest were overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS).

The triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index is a novel marker of insulin resistance that has been strongly associated with many diseases related to metabolic disorders, such as diabetes, coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, obesity, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and stroke. However, whether the TyG index is associated with the prevalence of gallstones has not been determined. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between the TyG index and the prevalence of gallstones in American adults, as well as the age at which adults in America undergo their first gallstone surgery.

Background: Troponin (Tn) is of an important biomarker for the diagnosis and prognosis of myocardial injury and for evaluating the severity of cardiac involvement due to other systemic diseases in children. Methods: A total of 200 patients with renal anemia from December 2020 to December 2022 were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups. Patients in the control group were treated with polysaccharide-iron complex, and those in the experimental group were administered Jianpi Shengxue tablet.

We computed effect sizes employing the random-effects model and reported results in terms of weighted mean differences (WMD) along with their corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CI).

Background And Purpose: Combining immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and thoracic radiotherapy (TRT) may magnify the radiation pneumonitis (RP) risk. Dosimetric parameters can predict RP, but dosimetric data in context of immunotherapy are very scarce. To address this knowledge gap, we performed a large multicenter investigation to identify dosimetric predictors of RP in this under-studied population.

HK2 cells treated with 20 μM cisplatin and C57BL/6 mice injected with 20 mg/kg cisplatin were used as the cell model and animal model for acute kidney injury.

Developing a trans-multisynaptic tracer to map the neural circuit of recovered sciatic nerve after treatment with nerve growth factor.

Nerve growth factor (NGF) has been shown to support the survival and differentiation of neurons. In this study, we first developed a retrograde trans-multisynaptic tracer PRV580 expressing the mCherry fluorescent protein based on pseudorabies virus Bartha strain to map the neural circuit of sciatic nerve. Secondly, the newly developed PRV580 was used to map the neural circuit of the recovering sciatic nerve upon treatment with NGF.
