Objective: Jejunoileal (JI) bypass was a widely performed surgical procedure for morbid obesity in the 1970s. The purpose of this study was to assess cardiovascular risk factors and mortality in patients 25 years or more after this operation.

Material And Methods: All (n = 36) patients operated on for obesity with JI bypass at Haukeland University Hospital between 1971 and 1976 were evaluated.
