A new high-frequency ultrasound classification of De Quervain tenosynovitis.

Purpose: This study aimed to introduce a new high-frequency ultrasound classification of De Quervain tenosynovitis based on a large group of patients. Detailed characteristics of classification are also reported.

Methods: From January 2014 to February 2024, patients diagnosed with De Quervain tenosynovitis were retrospectively reviewed.

Intravenous ketorolac versus metoclopramide in adult patients with migraine headaches: An updated systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: Intravenous ketorolac and metoclopramide are common emergency treatments for adult patients with migraine headaches. The comparison between ketorolac and metoclopramide for migraine treatment is an intriguing issue for research and clinical practice.

Objectives: To provide an updated systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials (RCTs) to help determine which treatment has better effects for migraine patients.

Application of laparoscopic ultrasound in retroperitoneal radical nephrectomy for renal cell carcinoma with Type II inferior vena cava tumor thrombectomy.

Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the application value of laparoscopic ultrasound (LU) in retroperitoneal radical nephrectomy for renal cell carcinoma with Type II inferior vena cava tumor thrombectomy (RRN-RCC-TII-IVCTT).

Methods: The clinical data (operative time, length of tumor thrombus, tumor length, intraoperative bleeding, clinical stage, histological type, residual tumor tissue, and postoperative follow-up) of 6 patients who underwent LU-guided RRN-RCC-TII-IVCTT were retrospectively analyzed, and the intraoperative experience of LU was also summarized.

Results: All 6 patients recovered well with liver and kidney functions returning to normal, and no tumor recurrence, metastasis, or vena cava tumor thrombus.

Reliability and Validity of the Repeatable Battery for Assessment of Neuropsychological Status Scale in Evaluation of Vascular Cognitive Impairment in Elderly Han Population.

Introduction: Vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) and Alzheimer's disease are the most common cognitive impairment diseases in the elderly. This study aimed to apply the Repeatable Battery for Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS) scale to evaluate VCI in elderly patients and analyze its reliability and validity.

Methods: We enrolled 278 VCI patients admitted to our hospital, from June 2017 to June 2018.

Modified dynamic high-frequency ultrasound-guided needle aponeurotomy for Dupuytren's contracture.

The aim of this report was to introduce the use of modified dynamic high-frequency ultrasound-guided needle aponeurotomy for Dupuytren's contracture. From January 2014 to February 2019, the technique was used in 42 consecutive patients who suffered from Dupuytren's contracture: 38 male and 4 female; mean age, 57 years (range, 32-80 years). Assessments comprised total active extension deficit and total active flexion of the fingers, active range of motion, Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand (DASH) score, and EQ-5D index.
