Photodegradation of drug substances leads to the formation of known and unknown degradation products. These unknown degradation products interfere and give erroneous results because of absorption on analytical wavelengths. This interference could be eliminated using the correction of irrelevant absorbancies.

The transportation sector is a crucial driver of energy intensity and environmental degradation. Therefore, we aim to explore the nexus of transportation taxes, energy intensity, and CO emissions for the BICS economies. The econometric approaches, CS-ARDL and PMG-ARDL, have been employed to compute the estimates.

A new approach is adopted to grow cadmium zinc telluride (CdZnTe) thin films using the close spaced sublimation (CSS) technique. The deposition parameters for the growth of cadmium telluride (CdTe) thin films onto the glass substrate were optimized. A zinc telluride (ZnTe) thin film layer was deposited onto already-deposited CdTe thin film to fabricate the CdZnTe (CZT) thin film sample as a ternary compound.

This paper investigates the relationship between energy intensity, economic freedom, and carbon emissions. The problem of environmental degradation, economic freedom, and energy use is mainly studied for developed economies; however, this study has selected forty-one Asia-Pacific economies representing all income groups of the World Bank's classification. In the presence of income, economic freedom plays a dual role for environment and energy: direct impact and as moderating factor impact.

In the digital era, technology innovation and adoption trigger economic growth and enhance CO emissions through productivity, which places it in the mainstream policy debate. For BRICS economies, this paper uses the first method proposed in the literature to quantify their information and communication technology (ICT) and innovatively links each country to their information technology adoption rate, as a surrogate indicator for measuring information and communication technology. Environmental Kuznets curve evidence is also examined, using technology innovation, technology adoption, and trade openness as the control variables for sustainable development.

Crocus sativus, a medicinally important herbaceous plant, has been traditionally used to cure coughs, colds, insomnia, cramps, asthma, and pain. Moreover, the therapeutic applications of saffron include its immunomodulatory and anticancer properties. The current experimental analysis was performed to explore the potential nutraceutical efficacy of corm, leaf, petal, and stigma of saffron ethanolic extracts as analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant, and antidepressant using hot plate, carrageenan-induced paw edema, capillary tube and forced swim test, respectively in mice.

Background: Beta thalassemia patients, post-bone marrow transplant, and leukemia patients require long term therapy with an intense care follow-up especially for pediatric hematology-oncology origin. Emergence of side effects and noncompliance to therapy lead to reduced efficacy of medicines resulting in relapse of diseases. There is an increasing fact to support the incorporation of a pharmacist into clinical team due to their distinctive skills.

This study aims to examine the impact of public-private partnerships (PPP) investment in energy, technological innovations (TI), economic growth (EG), exports, and foreign direct investment (FDI) on CO emissions in Brazil over the period from 1984 to 2018. In doing so, we employ the Ng-Perron unit root test to examine the stationarity and autoregressive lag distributed (ARDL) model for cointegration between CO emissions and its determinants. The outcomes are as follows: first, in the long run, the PPP investment in energy deteriorates the environmental quality by increasing CO emissions, while TI has a significant negative effect on CO emissions.

This paper aims to find out relationships among the energy, environment, and the industrial production for a developing country which is in earlier stages of development. It also tests a few contradicting hypotheses to find the possible shape of an environmental Kuznets curve. Using the time series data, the study finds robust long-run relationships between energy, environment, and industrial production for Pakistan.

Background: In this study, bio-inspired computing is exploited for solving system of nonlinear equations using variants of genetic algorithms (GAs) as a tool for global search method hybrid with sequential quadratic programming (SQP) for efficient local search. The fitness function is constructed by defining the error function for systems of nonlinear equations in mean square sense. The design parameters of mathematical models are trained by exploiting the competency of GAs and refinement are carried out by viable SQP algorithm.
