Objective: To compare the vocal symptomatology of professors from a federal university who engaged in distance, hybrid, and face-to-face teaching during and after the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic period.
Method: The study included 40 university professors, 20 men and 20 women, whose symptomatology was monitored at three time points: during the distance teaching period due to social isolation caused by COVID-19, in hybrid teaching (partial return), and upon returning to face-to-face teaching, which required the use of face masks and posed contamination risks.
Results: The hybrid phase presented the highest absence of vocal complaints/discomfort, and most participants did not need to be reassigned due to vocal problems.

Although sickle cell anemia (SCA) is related to inflammation, the profile of inflammatory markers in sickle cell trait (SCT) is poorly studied. This is a cross-sectional study of inflammatory biomarkers carried out involving adults with SCA in steady state, SCT and controls. The SCA group had higher levels of lactato dehydrogenase, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, and tumor necrosis factor alpha than the others, while the SCT group had similar levels to control group.

Objective: To analyse spatial patterns and the temporal tendency of mortality related to Chagas disease, in order to identify priority control areas in the state of Sergipe, Northeast Brazil.
Methods: We conducted an ecological and time-series study with spatial analysis techniques on deaths from Chagas disease in the state of Sergipe (1996-2016). We used data from the Mortality Information System (SIM).
Background There is a scarcity of knowledge as to whether rates of myocardial reperfusion use and 30-day mortality for patients with ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction are similar among patients using the Brazilian Public Health System (SUS) and those using the private healthcare system. Methods and Results A total of 707 patients were analyzed using the VICTIM (Via Crucis for the Treatment of Myocardial Infarction) register database; 589 patients from the SUS and 118 from the private network with ST-segment-elevation myocardial infarction, who attended hospitals with the capacity to perform primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) were investigated. The timeline, rates of use of PCI, and the 30-day probability of death were investigated, comparing the SUS patients to those in the private system.

Materials And Methods: It was analyzed plaster casts and teleradiographs in frontal and lateral norm belonging to 50 individuals, aged between 15 and 19 years, with no previous history of orthodontic treatment and falling into four of the six Andrews's occlusion keys. The plaster models were scanned (3D) and the images of the dental arches were classified subjectively as oval, triangular and quadrangular by three calibrated examiners, with moderate inter-examiner agreement (Kappa = 0.
