Purpose: To assess the impact of staining and multiple firings on the mechanical, optical, and surface characteristics of zirconia-containing lithium silicate ceramics (ZLS).

Materials And Methods: Ninety ZLS discs (Suprinity, VITA Zahnfabrick) were divided according to the "Number of firings" protocol: Ctr-control, no characterization; SC-single firing cycle (for characterization, crystallization and staining simultaneously); and DC-double firing cycle (crystallization firing cycle was performed separately from the staining firing). Extrinsic pigmentation was performed to replicate the characterization of a monolithic restoration.

Food insecurity violates the right to regular access to quality food, affecting population groups unequally. In Brazil, FI is associated with both malnutrition and increased obesity and is intertwined with racial and gender inequalities, perpetuating cycles of poverty and social exclusion. This protocol aims to select observational studies that evaluate the association between food insecurity and overweight and their intersectional discussions (gender and race/color).

Thin films of chalcopyrite, CuFeS, are promising candidates for use as absorber layers in photovoltaic cells due to their low band gap and high absorbance. These films are typically deposited in two or three steps, always involving an annealing process. In this work, the CuFeS film was deposited on a glass substrate in a single deposition step using the cathodic cylindrical plasma deposition (CCyPD) technique.

The aim of this study is to present a panel that includes the main bacterial genera associated with endometritis. We conducted a search using the terms "endometritis women" OR "female endometritis" OR "pelvic inflammatory disease" AND bacteria* OR "uterine microbiome" in two databases: PubMed and Web of Science, without language or publication year restrictions. The panel is based on an analysis of 40 studies published over the past 38 years.

Article Synopsis
  • This study examined how different types of blood flow restriction (BFR) cuffs, single-chamber (SC-BFR) and multi-chamber (MC-BFR), affect exercise performance, heart responses, and feelings during workouts when participants exercise until they can't anymore.
  • Twenty-seven active participants performed resistance training under three conditions: SC-BFR, MC-BFR, and no BFR (N-BFR) to analyze various metrics like heart rate and exercise discomfort.
  • Results showed that SC-BFR resulted in less overall reps and lower discomfort compared to the other methods, indicating that the type of BFR cuff used significantly influences exercise outcomes.
