: Investigating how nanoparticle systems interact in whole blood (WB) is critical to evaluating the effectiveness of malaria therapy. Methods: We decided to establish a pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) model of the quinine population in WB using -infected mice, with a subsequent model comparison for nanocapsules coated with polysorbate (NCP80) or prepared with Eudragit RS (NCEUD). The present work aimed to evaluate the expression profile of genes related to stem cells (SC) characteristics during the acquisition of the multidrug resistance (MDR) phenotype in the chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Quercetin is a flavonol widely distributed in plants and has various described biological functions. Several studies have reported on its ability to restore neuronal function in a wide variety of disease models, including animal models of neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's disease. Quercetin per se can act as a neuroprotector/neuromodulator, especially in diseases related to impaired dopaminergic neurotransmission.

The molecular mechanisms that drive the granulosa cells' (GC) differentiation into a more estrogenic phenotype during follicular divergence and establishment of follicle dominance have not been completely elucidated. The main Hippo signaling effector, YAP, has, however, emerged as a potential key player to explain such complex processes. Studies using rat and bovine GC demonstrate that, in conditions where the expression of the classic YAP-TEAD target gene tissue growth factor () is augmented, expression and activity and, consequently, estradiol (E2) secretion are reduced.

In the present study, the effect of 6-((4-fluorophenyl) selanyl)-9H-purine (FSP) was tested against memory impairment and sensitivity to nociception induced by intracerebroventricular injection of amyloid-beta peptide (Aβ) (25-35 fragment), 3 nmol/3 μl/per site in mice. Memory impairment was determined by the object recognition task (ORT) and nociception by the Von-Frey test (VFT). Aβ caused neuroinflammation with upregulation of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) (in hippocampus), nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), and the proinflammatory cytokines interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in cerebral cortex and hippocampus.
