Aplasia cutis congenita (ACC) was diagnosed in a newborn with dysmorphic facial features, oligodactyly of the bilateral feet, and hip instability. The neonate's clinical abnormalities in addition to genetic testing confirmed a diagnosis of trichorhinophalangeal syndrome (TRPS) type II. The possibility of concurrent Adams-Oliver syndrome (AOS) is raised.

, a newly coined term deriving from the contraction of mask-related acne, is a form of mechanical acne resulting from continuous textile-skin adherence and friction. Prolonged mask use heats up the face environment, thus modifying skin microbiota and sebum production. Although effective prevalence is unknown, since the pandemic began and the prolonged use of masks was extended to the general population, has been a frequent topic of consultation among dermatologists.

We present three children with tinea incognito initially misdiagnosed as allergic contact dermatitis to face masks. All three patients presented with pruritic erythematous patches and plaques across the malar cheek and nose. This case series suggests that clinicians should keep a broad differential when evaluating mask-related facial dermatoses in children.

The influence of nutrition on the pathophysiology and clinical severity of inflammatory facial dermatoses such as acne, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, and perioral dermatitis has been controversially discussed for years. As part of a modern treatment approach, clinicians should provide patients with information on how their choice of diet might impact their dermatologic diagnosis and could potentially enhance therapeutic outcome. Recently, the concept of a gut-skin axis has gained momentum in the understanding of inflammatory dermatoses, with nutrition considered a contributing factor in this context.

Dermatological and allergological diseases related to the extended use of the PPEs represent an emerging problem amidst the pandemic. In particular, there are increasing reports of skin damage, occupational dermatoses, Irritant Contact Dermatitis (ICD) and allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) related to surgical facemasks and N95.

Objective: We sought to determine the incidence of RFDD in patients receiving dupilumab and the rate of resolution of RFDD after expanded series patch testing (ESPT) and allergen avoidance.
Methods: This is a retrospective chart review of 80 patients with atopic dermatitis who were evaluated for RFDD after treatment with dupilumab. Expanded series patch testing findings and response to allergen avoidance were assessed in the subset of patients with RFDD who subsequently underwent ESPT while continuing to receive dupilumab.

Background: Due to the public health risk associated with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) infection, universal use of face masks has been recommended to protect against viral spread. Adverse facial reactions from the utilization of masks in the general public are poorly characterized in literature.
Objective: We aimed to provide a systematic review of studies reporting adverse facial reactions associated with use of face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Use of a facial mask is a necessity during the current pandemic. The associated occlusion with extended daily use can lead to physiological changes in the skin with resultant irritation, itching, and infections. This can lead to exacerbation of pre-existing dermatoses or induction of irritant dermatitis or bacterial folliculitis.

Background: Little is known about the real-time cause-effect relations between IL-6 concentrations and SLE symptoms.
Methods: A 52-year-old woman with mild SLE activity collected her entire urine for the determination of IL-6/creatinine and protein/creatinine levels (ELISA, HPLC) for a period of 56 days in 12 h intervals (total: 112 measurements). Additionally, she answered questionnaires (VAS) on oral ulceration, facial rash, joint pain, fatigue and tiredness and measured her temperature orally twice a day.
