Background Gallbladder carcinoma (GBC) is a rare but highly aggressive malignancy, often discovered incidentally during cholecystectomy for symptomatic cholelithiasis. Despite significant geographic variation, the association between gallstones and GBC is well-documented, with chronic inflammation from gallstones potentially contributing to carcinogenesis. Objective This study aims to determine the prevalence of incidental GBC in patients undergoing cholecystectomy for symptomatic cholelithiasis at a tertiary care hospital in Peshawar, Pakistan.

Background: In this review, the complicated landscape of breast cancer management is explored with a focus on the promising synergies between ribociclib and endocrine therapy. Ribociclib mainly acts as a cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 (CDK4/6) inhibitor, which disrupts cell cycle progression necessary for tumor growth. This, in combination with endocrine therapy, aims to produce hormone receptor-positive breast cancers, which is a very relevant subtype with challenging therapeutics.

Background Mortality audit is important for healthcare workers, but this data is lacking in developing countries. It helps to provide material about the cause of death, mortality rate, age, and gender. In a surgical department, such information can help identify key public health challenges that are contributing to morbidity and mortality, and this information can help healthcare workers better tackle those pathologies and focus on their prevention and treatment.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to compare choroidal thickness in juvenile open angle glaucoma (JOAG) and healthy controls using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) and study its correlations.
Methods: In this case-control study, 56 eyes of 28 JOAG patients and an equal number of controls were recruited. SD-OCT was used to measure the choroidal thickness (ChT), in the macular region at 5 locations: subfoveal, 1500 µm and 3000 µm nasal and temporal to the foveal center, and in the peripapillary region at 6 locations: up to 1500 µm, nasal and temporal to the disc, respectively.

Background Transradial access (TRA) is a medical procedure primarily used for percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) and cardiac catheterization. Based on the recently published Minimizing Adverse Haemorrhagic Events by Transradial Access Site and Systemic Implementation of AngioX (MATRIX) trial, TRA is being used more frequently than transfemoral access (TFA) since it has reduced rates of bleeding and fatality. A structural complication of TRA is radial artery occlusion (RAO), which may cause temporary pain to limit TRA in the future.

Background Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) exhibits notable heterogeneity in clinical presentations and treatment responses, posing challenges in predicting outcomes and tailoring therapeutic strategies for affected patients. Despite advancements in molecular subtyping and prognostic assessment, uncertainties persist regarding the optimal management of DLBCL, highlighting the need for localized investigations to better understand treatment responses and outcomes within specific patient populations. Objective To assess the frequency of complete remission (CR) in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) patients undergoing first-line rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisolone (R-CHOP) therapy within a specific adult population.
