The intricate problems concerning energy require innovative solutions. Herein, we propose a smart composite nano system that can be used in a sustainable and dichotomous manner to resolve energy crises. The current study describes a new way to synthesize a pure spinel cobalt oxide (CoO) and boron (B), nitrogen (N), and sulfur (S) tri-doped CoO-reduced graphite oxide (rGO) nanocomposite (CBNS).

The deposition parameters for the growth of cadmium telluride (CdTe) thin films onto the glass substrate were optimized. A zinc telluride (ZnTe) thin film layer was deposited onto already-deposited CdTe thin film to fabricate the CdZnTe (CZT) thin film sample as a ternary compound.

Over use of organophosphate pesticides including Chlorpyrifos (CPF) has led to contamination of soil and water resources, resulting in serious health problems in humans along with other non-target organisms. The current study was aimed to investigate Chlorpyrifos as well as 3, 5, 6-Trichloro-2-pyridinol (TCP) biodegradation tendency of bacterial strain Bacillus thuringiensis MB497 isolated from wheat/cotton fields of Dera Saleemabad, Mianwali, Pakistan, having a history of heavy Organophosphate pesticides application. HPLC analysis revealed almost 99% degradation of the spiked CPF (200 mg L) in M-9 broth, soil slurry and soil microcosm by MB497 after 9 days of incubation.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA modified co-precipitation method has been used for the synthesis of a PdO-2MnO nanocomposite as an efficient electrode material for the electro-catalytic oxygen evolution (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). Palladium acetate and manganese acetate in molar ratio 1 : 4 were dissolved in water, and 10 ml of an aqueous solution of phyto-compounds was slowly added until completion of precipitation. The filtered and dried precipitates were then calcined at 450 °C to obtain a blackish brown colored mixture of PdO-2MnO nanocomposite.

Genetic polymorphisms constitute one of the reasons behind the racial variation in prostate cancer occurrence. Published studies regarding genetic associations of glutathione S-transferase mu 1 (GSTM1) and glutathione S-transferase theta 1 (GSTT1) null deletion polymorphisms with prostatic carcinoma have generated inconsistent results among different populations. To date, even a single meta-analysis is not available representing the association of these genes with prostate cancer in different ethnic groups.
