Avulsion of permanent teeth is most serious of all dental injuries and accounts for 1-16% of all traumatic injuries, of which maxillary incisors are most commonly involved. However, in this report a rare case of isolated avulsed immature premolar has been described. The patient had reported more than 3 hours after the trauma with a tooth stored in dry condition and soil contamination.

Hereditary hypohidrotic ectodermal dysplasia (HED) is typically inherited as an X-linked recessive trait, characterized by deformity of at least two or more of the ectodermal structures - hair, teeth, nails and sweat glands. Two cases of hereditary HED involving identical male twins, is being documented for the rarity of its occurrence with special attention given to genetics, pathophysiology, clinical, intraoral manifestations and to the methods to improve the masticatory function, the facial esthetics and psychology of patients affected by this disease.

Metastatic tumors to the jawbones are uncommon. Metastatic lesions to the oro-facial region may be the first evidence of dissemination of an unknown tumor from its primary site. Follicular thyroid carcinoma rarely presents initially as a distant metastatic lesion within the mandible.

Osteogenesis imperfecta is a collagen related disorder characterized by increased bone fragility and low bone mass. The important oral finding in osteogenesis imperfect is the presence of dentinogenesis imperfecta. This article presents a case of osteogenesis imperfecta (type IV B) with dentinogenesis imperfecta where a 7-year-old girl had opalacent primary teeth associated with severe bone deformity, scoliosis, barrel shaped rib cage, and short stature.

Background: Butorphanol tartrate, a mixed synthetic agonistantagonist opioid analgesic has been used for management of postoperative pain in minor and major surgical procedures.(14,20) Tramadol hydrochloride is a centrally acting opioid which is effectively used in postoperative pain in various minor and major surgeries.
Materials And Methods: Twenty subjects selected randomly received butorphanol tartrate 1 mg intramuscular and 20 subjects received tramadol hydrochloride 50 mg intramuscular after the removal of mandibular third molars.

Aim: to evaluate and compares the healing clinically and radiographically following periapical surgery with and without using hydroxyapatite graules.
Materials And Methods: Twenty patients were selected for the study & the nature of healing is compared with that of conventional periapical surgery. In the present clinical study chitra hydroxyapatite granules, a freeze-dried hydroxyapatite, is used to fill the osseous defects following periapical surgery.

A study of 1026, 3 to 4 year old children in nursery schools and day-care centers was done to assess the profile, occlusal relationships and the presence of spacing or crowding of teeth in south India. Males had a higher incidence of convex profiles, while females showed a higher incidence of straight profiles, but it was not statistically significant. Flush terminal planes was the most commonly observed molar relationship in both the sexes.

An eight-year-old girl was referred for the management of recurrent bleeding from the lower, left gingival region and a diffused swelling on the left side of her face. Doppler study and carotid angiogram were suggestive of an arteriovenous malformation. Segmental mandibular resection was performed after ligation of the left external carotid artery.
