Purpose: Effective interventions are needed to help adolescents with T1D develop independent self-management skills to prevent commonly observed deterioration of disease self-management resulting in poor health outcomes. Using a prospective RCT design, we assessed the impact of a nurse-led education program based on motivational interviewing (MI) in youth with Type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Design And Methods: After parental consent and youth assent, we prospectively randomized 66 adolescents 13-18 years old with T1D to either usual care (every 3 months visit with pediatric endocrinologist) or usual care supplemented by 2 in-person and 4 follow-up phone calls with a nurse educator in a pediatric endocrinology clinic of the University Hospital Farhat Hached, Sousse, Tunisia.

Objective: The aim of this study was to translate and analyze the psychometric properties of the third version of the Arabic Diabetes Attitude Scale.
Methods: A methodological study of psychometric validation of the scale according to the guidelines of Vallerand cross-cultural validation was conducted. Type 1 and type 2 diabetics, aged 18 and over, without cognitive impairment or altered mental status were recruited on a convenience-sampling basis.

Apart from congenital causes, orbital trauma is a leading cause of unilateral vision loss in children. We report the case of a 2-year-old child who was victim of an orbital trauma of the right eye caused by a ballpoint pen. He consulted us the day after the trauma with significant palpebral edema making the examination difficult.

We describe the case of 58-year-old man who, over the course of several years, had multiple skin lesions and colon cancer. The syndrome was diagnosed using Sanger sequencing, which allowed us to find the causative mutation.

Background: Little is known about the relationship between arginase, an immunosuppressive enzyme, and cervical lesions. The present study is aimed at evaluating arginase activity in plasma and mRNA arginase isoforms expression in cervical cells of patients with abnormal cytology and identifying their relationship with Human papillomavirus (HPV) related parameters such as: HPV type, HPV circulating viral load and anti-HPV16 IgG.
Methods: This study included 77 women with cervical lesions and 95 matched controls.
