Background: Many studies suggest the existence of an alteration of the retinal hemoperfusion in primary open-angle glaucoma. The OCT-A is a novel technique that allows to provide information on retinal microcirculation in a non-invasive way, thus it represents a possible imaging target for the early diagnosis and follow-up of glaucoma. The aim of our work is to evaluate the contribution of vascular parameters provided by OCT-A and their diagnostic abilities in the different stages of primary open-angle glaucoma.

Central odontogenic fibroma of simple type: An original observation.

SAGE Open Med Case Rep

April 2021

Department of Oral Medicine and Oral Surgery, SAHLOUL Hospital (Sousse), Dental Faculty of Monastir, University of Monastir, Sousse, Tunisia.

Central odontogenic fibroma is an uncommon, benign, slow-growing intraosseous mesenchymal odontogenic tumour. It presents a diagnostic dilemma to the clinician and the pathologist because its clinical and radiological features resemble other odontogenic and/or non-odontogenic tumours, and the differential diagnosis is based on histological examination. In this report, we describe our experience with a case of a 23-year-old female patient with central odontogenic fibroma of the mandible that was diagnosed as 'simple type'.

: There is sparse literature evidence in the spirometric patterns of adult Indigenous Australians with and without chest computed tomography (CT)-proven chronic airway diseases (CADs).: Participants spirometry testing graded as acceptable for quality and had a chest CT scan showing radiographic evidence of CADs were included for analysis.: Of the 1350 spirometric tests performed between 2012 and 2020, a total of 212 patients with a mean age of 53 years and 54% females were eligible to be included.
