The new archival documents are introduced into scientific circulation, allowing to verify critical assessment of activities of the first expedition under direction of A.

[The organizational forms of the Soviet Mongol cooperation in the area of medicine and health care in 1920s-1930s. Part I. Formation of two approaches].

In 1920s - late 1980s, active cooperation between the USSR and Mongolia in the field of medicine and health care had been occurred. The Mongolian People's Republic was the first country to which the USSR exported its organization of health care system, using it as a means of geopolitical influence and instrument of the socialist transformation of traditional nomadic society. At the same time, assistance to Mongolia began when the USSR itself had not yet completed the organization of new health care system, including needed medical personnel and resources, receiving assistance from Germany and other European countries.

Microscope-Assisted Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting: Technique and Results.

The microscope-assisted coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) is a special technique of direct myocardial revascularization by the operating microscope using special equipment and atraumatic sutures. This method allows to complete elimination of technical errors during the performance of distal anastomoses and can be used to improve the outcomes and quality of conventional technique of operations. This article focuses on a detailed description of the technique for performing a distal anastomosis using a microsurgical technique and an operating microscope.

Cytoprotective Effect of Echinochrome A in Primary Culture of Pulmonary Fibroblasts from Albino Rats under Conditions of Oxidative Stress.

We studied the effect of echinochrome A on the primary culture of pulmonary fibroblasts under normal conditions and under oxidative stress. Exposure to echinochrome A (100 μM, 6 h) did not affect the production of superoxide radical by fibroblasts, area of their nuclei, and number of nucleoli, but reduced the total area of nucleolar organizer regions against the background of stable proliferative activity of the culture. Two-hour oxidative stress induced by hydrogen peroxide solution (60 μM) increased the generation of superoxide radical, decreased DNA-synthetic activity of fibroblasts, area of fibroblast nuclei, and total area of nucleolar organizer regions.

Analysis of Preferences in the Use of Fixed-Doses Combinations Antihypertensive Drugs in the Regions of Far-Eastern Federal District.

Background: Diseases characterized by elevated blood pressure are the most frequently diagnosed pathology among socially significant diseases in the Russian Federation. According to clinical recommendations of the Russian Medical Society for Arterial Hypertension 2010-2019, the use of two and more component drugs improves the compliance of patients to treatment. The purpose of this study was a comparative analysis of preferences in the usage of combined antihypertensive drugs in ten regions of the Far Eastern Federal District (FSD).

[Morphology of traces of large blood drops on a snow-covered surface with different bleeding source height].

Aim is to study morphology of the traces of a large drop of blood formed on snow-covered surface when it falls from different heights. In the experiment, we studied the morphology of blood drop traces fallen from 20, 50 and 100 cm on a just settled dry snow cover in a moderately frosty environment (-8 °C) Dropping from a height of up to 20 cm, a blood drop formed a cylindrical channel in the snow cover and spread out to form a disc-shaped element. However if the bleeding source was located at a 50 and 100 cm distance, an element close to a ball, consisting of blood crystals and ice was formed in the final section of the cylindrical channel.

Effect of MGHPPGP Peptide Administered during the Post-Traumatic Period on Morphometric Parameters of the Neocortex and Hippocampus, Hepatocytes, and Epithelium of the Tongue and Small Intestine in Rats.

The effect of glyproline-containing peptide MGHPPGP (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro) was studied in experiments on male Wistar rats with modeled traumatic brain injury. The peptide was administered intraperitoneally in a dose of 1 mg/kg in 3 h and on days 2, 3, 4, 5 after injury. We evaluated morphometric parameters of the epithelial cells of the tongue, small intestine, and liver cells (AgNOR staining), neuronal layers II and V of the neocortex of the parietal lobe and hippocampal CA1 field (staining with gallocyanin) were evaluated in the post-traumatic period.

Biological properties of two enantiomorphic forms of N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-4-hydroxy-2,2-dioxo-1H-2λ,1-benzothiazine-3-carboxamide, a structural analogue of piroxicam.

The title benzothiazine-3-carboxamide, CHNOS, crystallized in two enantiomorphic crystal forms with the space groups P3 and P3 despite the absence of a classic stereogenic atom. The molecular structures are mirror images of each other. Only one sulfonyl O atom takes part in intramolecular hydrogen bonding as a proton acceptor and this atom is different in the two enantiomorphic structures.

[Soviet medicine on the pages of American medical periodicals: «American Review of Soviet Medicine» (1943-1948) in the context of relations between the USSR and the USA].

In 1943-1948 the American Review of Soviet Medicine was published in the United States. The journal contained full translations or brief summaries in English of the most significant articles from the Soviet medical press, reviews of Soviet medicine and public health practice written by American physicians, reviews of Soviet books on medicine, news of the American-Soviet Medical Society, as well as presentations by prominent Soviet medical scientists. After the changes in the political course of the USSR and the USA and the beginning of the Cold War, the American Review of Soviet Medicine was closed down.

Hepatoprotective Effect of Neonatal Administration of Non-Opioid Leu-Enkephalin Analogue in Adult Albino Rats Subjected to Antenatal Hypoxia.

We studied the effects of neonatal administration of non-opioid leu-enkephalin analogue peptide NALE) on the morphological parameters of the liver and redox status of 60-dayold albino rats subjected to antenatal hypoxia. In animals subjected to antenatal hypoxia, a decrease body weight and reduction of the area of hepatocytes and total area of their nucleoli were observed; these changes were accompanied by activation of free-radical processes and impairment of antioxidant defense in the liver and blood serum. Intraperitoneal administration of NALE (100 μg/kg, daily) during postnatal days 2-6 normalized body weight, hepatocyte area, and total area of their nucleoli, significantly reduced the intensity of ROS generation, and improved antioxidant protection in the liver and blood serum in 60-day-old animals subjected to antenatal hypoxia.

[Clinical features of diabetic retinopathy in pregnancy].

Introduction: Pregnancy is a risk factor for progression of diabetic retinopathy (DR). Despite the common opinion about the regression of DR after childbirth, it is possible for the disease to progress aggressively, which can cause loss of visual functions when treated untimely.

Spermidine Prevents Heart Injury in Neonatal Rats Exposed to Intrauterine Hypoxia by Inhibiting Oxidative Stress and Mitochondrial Fragmentation.

Intrauterine hypoxia (IUH) is a common intrauterine dysplasia that can cause programming of the offspring cardiovascular system. In this study, we hypothesized that placental treatment with spermidine (SPD) can prevent heart injury in neonatal offspring exposed to IUH. Pregnant rats were exposed to 21% O or 10% O (hypoxia) for 7 days prior to term or were exposed to hypoxia and intraperitoneally administered SPD or SPD+difluromethylornithine (DFMO) on gestational days 15-21.

[Correlation between biochemical markers of endothelial dysfunction, free radical oxidation and morphometric parameters of macular retina in pregnant women with preeclampsia].

[Influence of negative ambient temperature on the morphology of blood droplet traces].

The aim of this study was to identify the peculiarities of blood droplets on the street in frosty weather on the surfaces of objects with a negative temperature. The effect of negative ambient temperature (-19 °C) on the morphology of blood droplet traces was experimentally established. On cold trace surfaces, the droplet footprint was smaller, relatively flat and with wave-shaped edges; there was no splashing.

[Analysis of blood morphology in the case of arterial damage].

The aim of this study was the morphological analysis of traces of arterial bleeding, depending on the size of the blood vessel damage. A total of 21 archived medical-criminalistic expert reports related to the establishment of the types and mechanisms of blood trace formations were analysed. In all cases, there was damage to the arteries with external bleeding.

Immediate and Delayed Effects of Food Restriction on Some Parameters of Brain Development in Rats.

Combination of Bismuth and Standard Triple Therapy Eradicates Helicobacter pylori Infection in More than 90% of Patients.

Background & Aims: Due to the poor eradication rates of standard triple therapy, the addition of bismuth salts has been proposed for first-line eradication of Helicobacter pylori. We assessed the effectiveness and safety of the combination of bismuth and the standard, clarithromycin-containing triple therapy in eradication of H pylori infection, using data from a large multi-center registry.

Methods: We performed an interim analysis of data from the European Registry on H pylori Management, a prospective trial registering clinical data and outcomes from infected patients from 27 countries in Europe since 2013.

[Effectiveness of the system for predicting the risk of developing an acute angle closure glaucoma attack].

The Russian consensus on exo- and endocrine pancreatic insufficiency after surgical treatment was prepared on the initiative of the Russian "Pancreatic Club" on the Delphi method. His goal was to clarify and consolidate the opinions of specialists on the most relevant issues of diagnosis and treatment of exo- and endocrine insufficiency after surgical interventions on the pancreas. An interdisciplinary approach is provided by the participation of leading gastroenterologists and surgeons.
