Comparison of Bond Strength of Acrylic, Composite, and Nanocomposite Artificial Teeth to Heat-Cure Acrylic Denture Base Resin.

Objectives: The present study aimed to evaluate the bond strength of heat-cure denture base resin to newly designed Iranian artificial acrylic teeth.

Materials And Methods: In this in-vitro experimental study, shear bond strengths of Ivoclar acrylic, Apple composite, and B-Star nanocomposite teeth to heat-cure acrylic denture base resin were compared. A total of 18 samples were selected from each group of teeth.

The development of analytical methods that respond to the emerging need to perform rapid 'in situ' analyses of human metabolic pathways (HMPs) demonstrates disposable screen-printed electrodes (SPEs) as an alternative to the traditional tools. In the kynurenine pathway, one of the important HMPs, increased production of kynurenine (Kyn) as a main catabolite of tryptophan (Trp) degradation is involved in the immuno-editing process supporting cancer cells in escaping from the human immune system. In the current study, we demonstrate the development of a screen-printed potentiometric immunosensor for in vitro evaluation of Trp consumption and Kyn production controlled by cancer cells in response to the activated T-lymphocytes.

Background: This study aims to investigate the effect of antioxidants supplement on clinical outcomes and antioxidant parameters in rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Methods: The pre-post study was conducted on 40 female patients with RA in 12 weeks that taken daily one Selenplus capsule contained 50 μg selenium, 8 mg zinc, 400 μg vitamin A, 125 mg vitamin C, and 40 mg vitamin E. About 5 mL venous blood sample was taken from all participants and disease activity score (DAS) was determined by DAS-28 formula and high-sensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP).
