A new actinomycete strain, ODS25, exhibited antimicrobial activity against Bacillus subtilis, Kocuria rhizophila, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, was isolated from the ants, Odontomachus simillimus, collected from National Science Museum Thailand, Pathum Thani, Thailand. A polyphasic technique was used to characterize the taxonomic position. The morphological and chemotaxonomic properties of the strain are typical of members of the genus Streptomyces.

To ensure safe and effective care in preventing and managing drug-related problems, pharmacists trained in HSCT and CAR T-cell therapy fulfill various roles in providing care for these patients. With polypharmacy and complex medication regimens, drug interactions are one of the major aspects that pharmacists review regularly to ensure the efficacy of treatment while minimizing toxicity.

There are few methodologies that allow manipulating a biomaterial surface at nanometer scale, which controllably influence different cellular functions. In this study, virus nanoparticles with different structural features are selected to prepare 2D substrates with defined nanoscale topographies and the cellular responses are investigated. It is demonstrated that the viral nanoparticle based substrates could accelerate and enhance osteogenesis of bone derived mesenchymal stem cells as indicated by the upregulation of osteogenic markers, including bone morphogenetic protein-2, osteocalcin, and osteopontin, at both gene and protein expression levels.

Fom the stem wood of Dracaena loureiri, a new homoisoflavanone named loureiriol (1) and eight known flavonoid and stilbenoid derivatives, including 5,7-dihydroxy-3-(4-hydroxybenzyl)-4-chromanone (2), 4,4'-dihydroxy-2,6-dimethoxydihydrochalcone (3), 2,4'-dihydroxy-4,6-dimethoxydihydrochalcone (4), 4'-hydroxy-2,4,6-trimethoxydihydrochalcone (5), 4,6,4'-trihydroxy-2-methoxydihydrochalcone (6), 4,3',5'-trihydroxystilbene (7), 4,3'-dihydroxy-5'-methoxystilbene (8) and 4-hydroxy-3',5'-dimethoxystilbene (9) were isolated. These compounds were evaluated for their inhibitory activity against the enzymes cyclooxygenase-1 and cyclooxygenase-2. Potent but non-selective activity was found for the stilbenoids 7-9 (IC(50) 1.
