Background: Prognostically meaningful tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is not well-defined in the mitral transcatheter edge-to-edge repair arena. We aimed to explore the prevalence, correlates, and consequences of TR grades and postprocedural trends in this setting.
Methods And Results: A single-center registry of isolated, first-time interventions was retrospectively assessed for pre-, intra-, and postprocedural aspects up to 1 year, of them the primary composite outcome of all-cause deaths or heart failure (HF) hospitalizations, all according to TR severity at baseline and at 1 month following mitral transcatheter edge-to-edge repair.

Objective: To characterize the national distribution of COVID-19 hospital and emergency department visitor restriction policies across the United States, focusing on patients with cognitive or physical impairment or receiving end-of-life care.
Methods: Cross-sectional study of visitor policies and exceptions, using a nationally representative random sample of EDs and hospitals during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, by trained study investigators using standardized instrument.
Results: Of the 352 hospitals studied, 326 (93%) had a COVID-19 hospital-wide visitor restriction policy and 164 (47%) also had an ED-specific policy.

Objectives: To study the effect of endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal surgery on voice quality in patients with pituitary lesions.
Methods: An observational study comparing voice quality before and after surgery was conducted between September 2015 and September 2017 at Srinagarind Hospital, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. Pituitary tumor patients who underwent endoscopic endonasal transsphenoidal surgery were recruited.
Seventy-three year-old male with history of diabetes, hypertension, and chronic kidney disease stage 3 presented with epigastric pain and hyponatremia. ECG showed new ST segment elevation at precordial leads consistent with Cove-type Brugada ECG pattern. Cardiac catheterization revealed non-significant coronary artery stenosis.

Pseudohyperphosphatemia is a laboratory artifact characterized by falsely elevated serum phosphate mostly due to paraprotein interference on the conventional automated analyzer. Clinician recognition of this phenomenon and pre-analytical preparation, including dilution or protein precipitation, can obviate unnecessary therapy and potentially unveil the diagnosis of paraproteinemia especially related to multiple myeloma.
