Background: Growth differentiation factor-15 (GDF-15) is a hormone that regulates inflammatory responses, tissue repair, and cardiac remodeling, the three key processes underlying the development and progression of heart failure (HF). Furthermore, GDF-15 integrates information from cardiac and extracardiac disease pathways that are linked to multiorgan dysfunction in advanced stages of HF.
Aim: This study aimed to determine which factors are associated with one-year mortality in patients with end-stage HF, with particular emphasis on GDF-15.

Objective: The aim: Our work aims to investigate the therapeutic effect of art on children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) up to the age of 18 and to disseminate knowledge about its use as a part of therapy.
Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The authors created an anonymous online questionnaire addressed to parents and legal guardians of children and adolescents with and without ASD. The studied population comprised 190 subjects, of which 108 were a control group (children and adolescents without ASD) and 82 - a study group (children and adolescents with ASD).

Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) is a valuable, safe and widely used method for preoperative diagnosis of salivary gland lesions. The diagnostic accuracy of FNAC is dependent on the quality and yield of the aspirate, as well as the experience and knowledge of the cytopathologist. 247 cases of FNAC of salivary gland lesions were performed in our 4-year retrospective study.
