Introduction: In light of the lack of diversity in academic medicine leadership, diversity-related, student-led national medical organizations (NMOs) provide a space for solace and reprieve among common peers while providing an opportunity to develop leadership competencies in a supportive environment. Despite the impact NMOs have had on cultivating generations of leaders in medicine, trainees may not identify opportunities for leadership development that are transferable to future careers in academic medicine.

Methods: We designed and implemented a dynamic 60-minute workshop with an interactive PowerPoint presentation, author-owned video testimonials (from past student leaders of NMOs), two case presentations, and reflection exercises.

Recently, cold and cough dosage forms have gained significant attention due to their use in the supportive protocols for managing COVID-19 symptoms. In this study, a pharmaceutical formulation containing Paracetamol (PAR), Guaifenesin (GUA), and Phenylephrine hydrochloride (PHE) was investigated for spectral resolution and quantification using advanced spectrophotometric methods. The spectra of these components were significantly overlapped and present in their combined tablet in a challenging ratio of 250:100:5 for PAR, GUA, and PHE, respectively.

The clinical experiences, feedback, and assessment that veterinary students receive during final year rotations have a significant impact on whether they will achieve entry-level competency at the time of graduation. In this study, a cross-sectional survey was administered to American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) member institutions to collect baseline data about current feedback and assessment practices to identify key target areas for future research and educational interventions. The Competency-Based Veterinary Education (CBVE) Analyze Working Group of the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) Council on Outcomes-based Veterinary Education (COVE) has developed a CBVE assessment toolkit. The toolkit is designed to provide curriculum committees and individual instructors with an opportune intersection of the CBVE domains of competence and various assessment techniques. College-wide curriculum committees can use the toolkit to guide programs of assessment in the larger unit, ensuring that assessment methods are aligned with intended learning outcomes throughout the curriculum.
