Background: Periorbital rejuvenation is often challenging and requires comprehensive evaluation of its various components to obtain satisfying results. Considering the crucial role of the orbicularis muscle in the periorbital aging process, the first author recently described his personal technique for temporal lifting through a subcutaneous approach in conjunction with an orbicularis muscle flap. In the current article, the authors present a modified and extended temporal lift approach, which allows for remarkable improvement not only in the temporal and brow region, but in the whole periorbital area up to the malar region, therefore named "Temporal MORE" (Modified Orbicularis REpositioning).

An 82-year-old woman presented with a 6-month history of an enlarging brow mass that developed after trauma. Clinical and MRI appearance of the lesion appeared consistent with epidermal inclusion cyst. However, excisional biopsy demonstrated invasive squamous cell carcinoma, which recurred 6 weeks later and required repeat surgical excision.

Botulinum toxin is a protein deriving from the bacteria and it is widely used for the treatment of a variety of muscle hyperactivity syndromes and for cosmetic indications. Having a long-lasting effect, Botulinum toxin type A (BTA) is one of the most botulin toxin products used. Even if BTA has shown benefits in reducing the vertical lines between the eyebrows, Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) have been experienced as well, of which the most common ones are headache and drooping eyelids.

This review presents an analysis of domestic and foreign literature on the issues of fixation of facial epitheses and combined maxillofacial prostheses, such as the use of craniofacial implants installed in the zygomatic bone, brow arches, orbital walls, mastoid process of the temporal bone with beam or magnetic beam fixation systems. The advantages and disadvantages of such fastening systems are described. The analysis and systematization of available data on medical adhesive compositions that can be used in maxillofacial prosthetics to hold facial epitheses has been carried out.
