Purpose: To evaluate the clinical effect of vertically fractured posterior teeth treated with elastic ligation.
Methods: Eighty-six vertically fractured posterior teeth were chosen to be treated with elastic ligation for external fixation before root canal therapy (RCT), and then full crown prostheses were made for rehabilitation.
Results: The success rate after 1 year, 2 years and 3 years were 97.
