Introduction: Subjective cognitive decline (SCD) can be considered as the preclinical manifestation of Alzheimer's disease (AD). The National Institute on Aging and the Alzheimer's Association criteria for preclinical AD proposed that subtle cognitive changes appear along with AD biomarkers in the late stage of preclinical AD. The objective of this study was to explore whether subtle cognitive impairment (SCI) in individuals with SCD is associated with brain amyloid-β (Aβ) status and SCD severity.

Background: Following sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB), the axillary recurrence rate is very low although SLNB has a false-negative rate of 5-10%. In the ACOSOG Z0011 trial, non-sentinel positive-lymph nodes were found in more than 20% of the axillary dissection group; the SLNB only group did not have a higher axillary recurrence rate. These findings raised questions about the direct therapeutic effect of the SLNB.

Objective: The aim of this study was to validate the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) residual tumor classification in patients with stage III-N2 non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) undergoing neoadjuvant concurrent chemoradiotherapy (nCCRT) followed by surgery.
Background: As adequate nodal assessment is crucial for determining prognosis in patients with clinical N2 NSCLC undergoing nCCRT followed by surgery, the new classification may have better prognostic implications.
Methods: Using a registry for thoracic cancer surgery at a tertiary hospital in Seoul, Korea, between 2003 and 2019, we analyzed 910 patients with stage III-N2 NSCLC who underwent nCCRT followed by surgery.

Background: Neurofilament light chain (NFL) level has been suggested as a blood-based biomarker for neurodegeneration in dementia. However, the association between baseline NFL levels and cognitive stage transition or cortical thickness is unclear. This study aimed to investigate whether baseline NFL levels are associated with cognitive stage transition or cortical thickness in mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and cognitively unimpaired (CU) participants.

Background: Although a connection between sleep disruption and brain aging has been documented, biological mechanisms need to be further clarified. Intriguingly, aging is associated with circadian rhythm and/or sleep dysfunction in a key gene regulating circadian rhythm, Circadian Locomotor Output Cycles Kaput (CLOCK), has been linked to both aging-related sleep disturbances and neurodegenerative diseases. This study aims to investigate how CLOCK genetic variation associates with sleep duration changes and/or volumetric brain alteration.

Increased blood lipid levels are heritable risk factors of cardiovascular disease with varied prevalence worldwide owing to different dietary patterns and medication use. Despite advances in prevention and treatment, in particular through reducing low-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels, heart disease remains the leading cause of death worldwide. Genome-wideassociation studies (GWAS) of blood lipid levels have led to important biological and clinical insights, as well as new drug targets, for cardiovascular disease.
