We aimed to assess whether early postnatal additional high-dose fat-soluble enteral vitamin A supplementation versus placebo would lower the rate of moderate or severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia or death in ELBW infants receiving recommended basic enteral vitamin A supplementation.

Methods: This prospective, multicentre, randomised, parallel-group, double-blind, placebo-controlled, investigator-initiated phase 3 trial conducted at 29 neonatal intensive care units in Austria and Germany assessed early high-dose enteral vitamin A supplementation (5000 international units [IU]/kg per day) or placebo (peanut oil) for 28 days in ELBW infants.

Drug withdrawal and introduction of effective prophylactic medication for the underlying headache disorder should be the primary treatment strategy.

Laparoscopic retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy for ovarian mixed germ cell tumor in a patient with situs inversus totalis; reporting the first case worldwide with literature review and in silico analysis.

Background: Situs inversus totalis (SIT) is a rare autosomal recessive inheritance at which the abdomino-thoracic organs are mirror-image transposed. Germ cell tumors originate from the primitive germ cell of the ovary and testis.

Case Report Presentation: A rare association between malignant ovarian mixed germ cell tumor and SIT was presented in a 32-years-old Egyptian female, successfully treated with laparoscopic total abdominal hysterectomy, right salpingo-oophorectomy, and retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy (laparoscopic retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy) of both sides.

Introduction: Chest contouring or subcutaneous mastectomy (SCM) in female-to-male (FtM) transgender individuals is the primary surgery in the gender reassignment process. Many authors report high rates of postoperative bleeding in these patients and discuss a possible influence of preoperative hormone therapy. However, there is a lack of data on the analysis between different surgical techniques and postoperative bleeding risk.
