The current work attempts to explore the influence of three extraction solvents on phytochemical composition, content of polyphenols, antioxidant potential, and antibacterial capacity of hydroethanolic, acetonic, and aqueous extracts from Moroccan Mentha longifolia leaves. To achieve this goal, the chemical composition was identified using an HPLC-DAD examination. The contents of polyphenols were assessed, while the total antioxidant capacity (TAC), the DPPH test, and the reducing power test (RP) were utilized to determine antioxidant capacity.

Two families of phosphorhydrazone dendrons having either an azide or an alkyne linked to the core and diverse types of pyridine derivatives as terminal functions have been synthesized and characterized. These dendrons were grafted via click reaction to graphene oxide (GO) functionalized with either alkyne or azide functions, respectively. The resulting modified-GO and GO-dendrons materials have been characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), Raman spectroscopy (RS), and Magic Angle Spinning Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (MAS NMR) analyses.

In this paper, we are concerned with a new stochastic system of nonlinear partial differential equations modeling the Lotka-Volterra interactions of predators and preys in the presence of prey-taxis, spatial diffusion, and noises. The spatial and temporal variations of the predator's velocity are determined by the prey gradient. In the first part, we derive a macroscopic model from stochastic kinetic equations by using the micro-macro decomposition method.

Euromed Research Center, Euromed Polytechnic School, Euromed University of Fes, Eco-Campus, Meknes Road, 30 030, Fes, Morocco. Electronic address:

Additive manufacturing has enabled the fabrication of lightweight complex metamaterials that possess high energy absorption and impact resistance properties. Stents, a typical 3D auxetic material, have significant self-expanding behavior, and their mechanical properties can be finely tuned over a wide range. In this study, we systematically analyzed three distinctive elastic-plastic regions using experimental, numerical simulations, and theoretical analysis, focusing on investigating the energy absorption capability of a designed structure by varying tessellated unit cell numbers in two section views in X- and Y-direction.

J Mater Chem B

February 2023

Euromed Research Centre, Euromed Polytechnic School, Euromed University of Fes, Eco-Campus, Fes-Meknes Road, 30030 Fes, Morocco.

Because of their excellent biologically active qualities, bioactive glasses (BGs) have been extensively used in the biomedical domain, leading to better tissue-implant interactions and promoting bone regeneration and wound healing. Aside from having attractive characteristics, BGs are appealing as a porous scaffold material. On the other hand, such porous scaffolds should enable tissue proliferation and integration with the natural bone and neighboring soft tissues and degrade at a rate that allows for new bone development while preventing bacterial colonization.

Despite the application of the Additive Manufacturing process and the ability of parts' construction directly from a 3D model, particular attention should be taken into account to improve their mechanical characteristics. In this paper, we present the effect of individual process variables and the strain-rate sensitivity of Onyx (Nylon mixed with chopped carbon fiber) manufactured by Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF), using both experimental and simulation manners. The main objective of this paper is to present the effect of the selected printing parameters (print speed and platform temperature) and the sensitivity of the 3D-printed specimen to the strain rate during tensile behavior.

Today, there is a very strong demand for versatile near-infrared (NIR) imaging agents suitable for non-invasive optical imaging in living organisms ( imaging). Here, we created a family of NIR-emitting macromolecules that take advantage of the unique structure of dendrimers. In contrast to existing fluorescent dendrimers bearing fluorophores at their periphery or in their cavities, a NIR fluorescent structure is incorporated into the core of the dendrimer.
