Background And Aims: Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is a common inherited disease, leading to premature atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) due to elevated low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels. Achieving LDL-C goals is extremely important for preventing the complications of this fatal disease. We evaluated the management of FH patients with ASCVD in cardiology practice.

The Effect of Ureteral Access Sheath Use/Caliber Change on Outcomes of Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery, Short-Term Kidney Functions, Radiation Exposure, Ureteroscope Lifetime, and Factors Predicting Insertion Failure: A RIRSearch Study.

The aim of this study was (1) to explore effect of ureteral access sheath (UAS) use on primary retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) outcomes, short-term kidney functions, radiation exposure, and ureteroscope lifetime (URS-LT) and (2) to reveal factors that predict UAS insertion failure. Patients ( = 1318) who underwent RIRS without UAS (Group 1), those who had operation with a <11-13 Fr (Group 2), and those with a ≥11-13 Fr UAS were matched (1:1:2) and compared. Stone-free rate (SFR), intra- and postoperative complications, acute kidney injury (AKI), fluoroscopy time, URS-LT, and UAS insertion failure were the outcomes.

The aim of the study was to understand these new data better by comparing outcomes of retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) that continued sheathless after a failed UAS insertion those planned and completed sheathless. Data of 195 patients who underwent sheathless RIRS for kidney and/or ureteral stones between 2011 and 2021 were retrieved from the database.

Purpose: To analyze the effects of various obstetric and perinatal factors on the severity of retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).

Methods: Infants born at ≤ 32 weeks of gestation, with less than 1500 g gestational weight and having at least stage 1 ROP, were reviewed. Group1A included treatment-requiring ROP (TR-ROP), and group 2A included the remaining patients not requiring treatment.

Aims: This study aims to investigate hearing and inner ear functions of the LP patients.

Patients/methods: The present study was formed by 49 patients who were clinically and histopathologically diagnosed with LP and did not receive any treatment.

Introduction: Radial meniscus tears are seen in young patients, especially with anterior cruciate ligament ruptures. Repair of complete radial meniscus tear is necessary for the meniscus functions. The most important factor for success of the meniscus repair is primary stability, but it is still unknown which technique is ideal repair technique.

Infundibulopelvic angle (IPA), infundibulotransverse angle (ITA), infundibular lenght(IL), and infundibular width (IW) were measured on the intravenous urographies which were taken before the procedure.

Objective: Multidrug resistance is a cause of treatment failure in patients with malignant lymphoma; however, the frequency and clinical relevance of multidrug resistance protein expression are unclear. The present study aimed to investigate expression of the most common multidrug resistance proteins in a group of lymphoma patients.

Material And Methods: The study included 44 previously untreated lymphoma patients (non-Hodgkin's lymphoma [n = 21], non-malignant lymphadenopathy [n = 13], and Hodgkin's lymphoma [n = 10]).
