Objective: We conducted a biochemical and histological evaluation of whether berberine has a protective and/or therapeutic effect in a cyclophosphamide-induced premature ovarian failure (POF) model.

Materials And Methods: We divided 28 Wistar albino female rats into 4 groups [control group, POF group, cyclophosphamide (CP)+berberine (Bb) group, and POF+Bb group]. The POF model was established by intraperitoneal administration of 50 mg/kg CP on day 1 followed by 8 mg/kg/day CP dissolved in saline for the following 14 days.

The Relationship Between Religious Coping and Internalized Stigma Among Patients With Bipolar Disorder.

Background: Stigmatization is a situation that results from the negative perspective of society toward individuals with certain mental and physical illnesses and has negative effects. It has been observed that there are not enough studies in the literature investigating the attitudes of individuals with mental illness to cope with lifelong difficulties such as stigma and especially their religious coping attitudes. However, there are many clinical studies on general psychology and religious coping with varying results.

A correlational and cross-sectional study on the relationship between internalized stigma and religious coping in patients with schizophrenia.

Self stigmatization, which occurs as a result of internalization of public stigma in severe mental illnesses, is a factor that impairs the mental well-being of individuals and their compliance with treatment. Data on exactly which factors are associated with internalized stigma are still insufficient. Our aim in this clinical study is to investigate the relationship between internalized stigma and religious coping in patients with schizophrenia.

Methods: The right eye medical records of 176 patients aged 18-35 years who were admitted to our clinic as refractive surgery candidates were tested for refractive status and keratometry measurements with a Nidek OPD-Scan II aberrometer/topographer and a standard table-top autorefractokeratometer (Topcon KR 8900) before and after the induction of cycloplegia. Patients who had undergone any eye surgery and had hereditary, ectatic, or acquired corneal pathology were excluded.
