Biofeedback is a well-known and effective treatment for patients with fecal evacuation disorder (FED). The main purpose of this study was to investigate the outcome and the effects of biofeedback therapy on physiological parameters as assessed by manometry in patients with FED. Data from 114 consecutive patients with FED who underwent biofeedback therapy in Sara Gastrointestinal clinic in Tehran, Iran during 2015-2018 were retrospectively reviewed and analyzed.

Low-dose preoperative pregabalin improves postoperative pain management in septorhinoplasty surgery: a double-blind randomized clinical trial.

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy of single low dose (75 mg) preoperative pregabalin in reducing post-operative pain of septorhinoplasty.

Methods: A double blind single center Randomized controlled trial based on block randomization. In the pregabalin group (PG) 34 participants received 75 mg pregabalin orally one hour before anesthesia induction while in control group (CG) 34 participants received a placebo.

As a step towards understanding the underlying molecular mechanisms of this contribution, we aimed to examine the association of four microRNAs' (miR-222, -137, -214, -181b) levels with BRAFV600E and clinicopathological features in PTC tissues and fine needle aspiration (FNA) specimens.

Methods: In total, 56 PTC and 27 benign with multinodular goiter tissue samples, 95 FNA samples, and B-CPAP and HEK293 cell lines were examined.

Revisiting Vesicourethral Anastomosis during Open Radical Retropubic Prostatectomy; A Simple and Reproducible Technique: A Single Center Experience with 200 Cases.

Purpose: Vesicourethral anastomosis (VUA) represents a challenging step of open radical prostatectomy (ORP) because of limitation of space in the depth of male pelvis, lack of control on knots during tightening which subse-quently causes inadequate coupling of VUA or breakdown of knots, and also extremely difficult reapplication of sutures. To facilitate this step of ORP, we have developed a simple and reproducible technique and reported our 8-year experience.
