Background: Examining factors affecting nursing care is vital for enhancing practices, improving care quality, and achieving desired patient outcomes.

Aim: To explore emergency nurses' perceptions of care quality, compassion fatigue and conscience stress levels; and evaluate the mediating role of conscience stress between compassion fatigue and perception of nursing care quality.

Methods: This cross-sectional and descriptive study was conducted between April 1 and September 1, 2022, with 384 nurses working in emergency departments across Turkey.

Acne vulgaris (AV) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition predominantly observed during adolescence. Interoception accuracy (IAc) refers to the ability to perceive internal bodily states such as hunger and thirst. Since the brain and skin originate from the same embryological layer, the ectoderm, it is hypothesized that skin changes and disorders might affect individual perceptions.

Re-Categorization and Risk of Malignancy of Atypical Effusions According to the International System for Reporting Serous Fluid Cytopathology (TIS): An Institutional Experience.

Background: Serous effusion fluids serve as crucial cytological materials in diagnosing the underlying causes of fluid accumulation in various body cavities. The International System for Reporting Serous Fluid Cytopathology (TIS) outlined atypia of undetermined significance (AUS) and suspicious for malignancy (SFM) as two intermediate categories for atypical fluids.

Materials And Methods: In our study, cases diagnosed as "atypical" by an experienced cytopathologist in the Hacettepe University Department of Pathology, between 2014 and 2023, were re-categorized according to TIS.

Purpose: To assess anatomical variations in the celiac trunk (Ct) in patients with Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome (MALS) using computed tomography (CT). The primary objectives were to investigate the celiac trunk angle (CtA), origin level, length (CtL), and their relationships with the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) in MALS patients. Additionally, the study intended to evaluate gender differences in these parameters and explore correlations between variables.

Main Portal Vein Diameter Changes in Patients Undergoing Gastric Surgery for Malignancy: An Observational CT Study.

Background: Preclinical and clinical investigations have revealed deficits in cortical inhibition in individuals with schizophrenia. Transcranial magnetic stimulation, a commonly used noninvasive measurement technique, is used for assessing these deficits. Limited research has been conducted on the effects of antipsychotic medications on cortical inhibition.

Central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) is a chorioretinal disease that is characterized by central vision loss and is usually seen in middle-aged males. It has been associated with the use of various drugs, including corticosteroids and phosphodiesterase inhibitors. We present the case of a 36-year-old male who developed CSCR after a few weeks of irregular use of quetiapine for his sleep problems.

Internalized Stigma in Hidradenitis Suppurativa: A Multicenter Cross-Sectional Study.

The Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Emergency Department Visits Resulting in Ophthalmology Consultations.

Introduction The aim of this study is to determine the characteristics of eye-related emergency department (ED) visits resulting in ophthalmology consultation during the COVID-19 pandemic and compare them against an equivalent period from the previous year. Methods In this study, we reviewed the charts of patients who were admitted to ED with ocular complaints between March 11th, 2020 (the date of the first COVID-positive case in our country) and March 11th, 2021 (Study period 1; SP1) and those who were admitted to ED within the equivalent period of the previous year (Study period 2; SP2). The frequency of eye-related cases, the urgency status of complaints, diagnosis, treatment applied, and hospitalization status of the patients were compared.

Diagnostic value of end-tidal carbon dioxide in the differential diagnosis of unstable angina and non-cardiac chest pain.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the diagnostic value of End-tidal carbon dioxide (ETCO) measured non-invasively at the bedside in order to distinguish between unstable angina pectoris (UAP) and non-cardiac chest pain among patients who present to the emergency department with chest pain without a history of cardiac pathology.

Material And Methods: This clinical study is a prospective case-control study among patients presenting to the emergency department of a tertiary hospital with chest pain. After evaluating the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the patients were divided into two groups: 62 patients with UAP and 62 patients with non-cardiac chest pain.

Our study aims to ascertain the diagnostic value of the Monocyte-lymphocyte ratio (MLR) and red cell distribution width (RDW)-lymphocyte ratio (RLR) by comparing them with other biomarkers in distinguishing patients with and without acute appendicitis (AA). A total of 223 children were recruited in the study conducted according to the Cross-Sectional Study design. Patients under 18 years were assigned to 3 groups; AA, nonspecific abdominal pain (NAP), and a control group.

Background: During the pandemic process, nursing care has gained more importance. So, it is critical to evaluate the level of trust in nurses and the perception of care in terms of the patient, in order to improve the care service provided, to achieve the desired successful patient results, to ensure patient satisfaction in nursing care and to create a healthy society in the long term.

The short-term effects of intranasal steroids on intraocular pressure in pediatric population.

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of intranasal mometasone furoate (INMF) on short-term intraocular pressure (IOP) alterations in children with allergic rhinitis (AR).

Methods: In this study, CT's of 151 simple trauma patients aged between 3 and 15 years between 2016 and 2020 were evaluated. All CT examinations were performed using a 32-slice CT and included images of the skull base and C1-C2 junction.
