Purpose Of Review: The liver is a common site of metastatic disease. Systemic therapy is most frequently the preferred therapy for patients with liver metastases, but surgical excision or tumor ablation strategies are often considered for patients with limited disease and favorable histology. Advances in radiation therapy technology made it possible to deliver potent biological doses to limited volumes of the liver with high precision in a few fractions.

A rapid and sensitive liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method has been developed and validated for the quantitative determination of cabazitaxel, a novel tubulin-binding taxane, in 100 μl aliquots of human lithium heparinized plasma with deuterated cabazitaxel as internal standard. Purpose: When one is performing online setup correction for prostate positioning displacements prior to daily dose delivery, intrafraction motion can become a limiting factor to prostate targeting accuracy. The aim of this study was to quantify and characterize prostate intrafraction motion assessed by multiple kilovoltage (kV) and megavoltage (MV) imaging of implanted markers during treatment in a large patient group.

Purpose: The fraction duration of robotic radiosurgery treatments can be reduced by generating more time-efficient treatment plans with a reduced number of node positions, beams, and monitor units (MUs). Node positions are preprogramed locations where the robot can position the focal spot of the x-ray beam. As the time needed for the robot to travel between node positions takes up a large part of the treatment time, the aim of this study was to develop and evaluate a node reduction technique in order to reduce the treatment time per fraction for robotic radiosurgery.

Purpose: To investigate application of pre-treatment established correlations between bladder-filling changes and cervix-uterus displacements in adaptive therapy.

Background: Omeprazole is one of the most prescribed medications worldwide and within the class of proton pump inhibitors, it is most frequently associated with drug interactions. In vitro studies have shown that omeprazole can alter the function of metabolic enzymes and transporters that are involved in the metabolism of irinotecan, such as uridine diphosphate glucuronosyltransferase subfamily 1A1 (UGT1A1), cytochrome P-450 enzymes subfamily 3A (CYP3A) and ATP-binding cassette drug-transporter G2 (ABCG2). Background: Standard treatment for localized soft tissue sarcoma (STS) is resection plus adjuvant radiotherapy (RTx).
