To study the clinical anatomy of the sphenopalatine foramina by dissecting the sphenopalatine foramina during Vidian nerve branch neurotomy. The anatomy and CBCT images of sphenopalatine foramen were analyzed to facilitate the navigational of clinical operation using CBCT images. From October 2017 to September 2023, 84 cases(168 sides) of Vidian nerve branch neurotomy in our department were collected.

Acute pancreatitis (AP) is one of the common diseases of the digestive system mainly characterized by acute inflammation of the pancreas and acinar cell destruction, and it can often develop into severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is one of the most common and serious complications of SAP and a common cause of death in patients with SAP. In recent years, there have gained new understanding of the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of SAP-related ARDS, however, a variety of drugs that have been shown to prevent ARDS in SAP animal models have not improved the prognosis of SAP-related ARDS patients in clinical researches.

Effective bone tissue engineering is important to overcome the unmet clinical challenges as more than 1.6 million bone grafts are done annually in the United States. Successful bone tissue engineering needs minimally three critical constituents: osteoprogenitor cells, osteogenic factors, and osteoinductive/osteoconductive scaffolds.

Background: Secondary damage is often more important in determining the functional outcome and provides a practical target for therapeutic intervention. Rosiglitazone (ROSG) is a potent PPAR-γ agonist and has been shown to induce neuroprotection in animal models of spinal cord injury (SCI). However, it is still unclear whether this PPAR-γ agonist can mediate neuronal autophagy after SCI.

Objective: To explore effect of all-trans retinoic acid(ATRA) on annexin Ⅱ expression in NB4 cells and to analyze the luciferase activity of annexinⅡ promoter in condition of ATRA-induced treatment.
Methods: NB4 cells were cultured in vitro, the transcriptional or translational expression levels of Annexin Ⅱ in NB4 cells treated with 1 µmol/L ATRA at different time points were detected by RT-PCR or Western blot respectively. Annexin Ⅱ-promoter was constructed, the recombinant plasmids pGL4.

Background: Activation of coagulation by expression of tissue factor (TF) in the airspace is a hallmark of acute lung injury (ALI) but the timing of TF activation in relationship to increases in lung permeability and inflammation are unknown.
Methods: To test the hypothesis that TF is upregulated early in the course of acute bleomycin lung injury and precedes increased permeability and inflammation we studied the early course of bleomycin-induced ALI in mice. Mice were treated with 0.
