As it has few typical imaging manifestations, it is not uncommonly misdiagnosed clinically. Azygos vein thrombosis is also a rare entity, and there is a big controversy over treatments for it.

Evaluating the Clinical Accuracy of a Non-invasive Single-Fasting-Calibration Glucometer in Patients with Diabetes: A Multicentre Study.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate the stability and accuracy of glucose measurements determined using the metabolic heat conformation (MHC)-based non-invasive glucometer in a multicentre, self-controlled clinical trial. This device is the first to obtain a medical device registration certificate awarded by the National Medical Products Administration of China (NMPA).

Methods: The multicentre clinical study was conducted at three sites and enrolled 200 subjects whose glucose was measured with a non-invasive glucometer (the Contour Plus blood glucose monitoring system) and by venous plasma glucose (VPG) measurements, in a fasted state and at 2 and 4 h after meals.

Gender differences in the associations between body mass index, depression, anxiety, and stress among endocrinologists in China.

Background: Depression, anxiety, and stress symptoms have been found to be associated with overweight or obesity, but the gender differences in the associations have not been well-examined. Based on a national sample of endocrinologists in China, we examined such associations with a focus on gender differences.

Methods: Data were collected from endocrinologists in China using an online questionnaire, which included demographic data, body weight, and height.

Effects of losartan in patients with NAFLD: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trial.

Losartan has become a hot spot in the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) among angiotensin receptor blocker drugs. We sought to conduct a systematic examination and meta-analysis to examine the effects of losartan on patients with NAFLD. We searched for potentially randomized controlled trials in PubMed, Embase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang, and the Cochrane database up to October 09, 2022.

Cine magnetic resonance urography as a new approach for postoperative evaluation of the reconstructed upper urinary tract: a multicenter study.

Purpose: To evaluate the feasibility and usefulness of cine magnetic resonance urography (cine MRU) as a novel postoperative examination after upper urinary tract reconstruction surgery.

Methods: Ninety-six patients underwent cine MRU for postoperative evaluation between August 2015 and August 2020. The morphological observations included regular peristalsis, anastomosis, urine flow signals, and reflux.

Objective: This study aimed to assess the level of depression, anxiety and stress among metastatic breast cancer (MBC) patients undergoing chemotherapy (CT) in Beijing, China.

A nomogram to predict the risk of bleeding after discharge from stent-assisted ruptured aneurysm embolization in a Chinese population.

The occurrence of bleeding events after stent-assisted embolization of a ruptured artery requiring continuous double antiplatelet therapy may seriously affect the prognosis of this group of patients. A nomogram can provide a personalized, more accurate risk estimate based on predictors. We, therefore, developed a nomogram to predict the probability of bleeding events in patients with stent-assisted ruptured aneurysm embolization.

Baricitinib for the treatment of intestinal Behçet's disease: A pilot study.

BACKGROUND The Twinstream® ventilator is a microprocessor-controlled electric jet ventilator that allows the simultaneous application of 2 different jet streams, one at low frequency and one at high frequency to result in pulsatile bi-level (p-BLV) mode of ventilation. This study aimed to evaluate supraglottic jet oxygenation and ventilation in 105 patients during bronchoscopy using the Twinstream® microprocessor-controlled jet ventilator and the Wei Nasal Jet® (WNJ) tube. MATERIAL AND METHODS Patients were randomly divided into 2 parallel groups (N=50 per group): group W using the WNJ tube and group M using an endoscopic face mask connected to Twinstream® microprocessor-controlled jet ventilator under monitored anesthesia care.

Associations of Lipids and Lipid-Lowering Drugs with Risk of Vascular Dementia: A Mendelian Randomization Study.

Accumulating observational studies suggested that hypercholesterolemia is associated with vascular dementia (VaD); however, the causality between them remains unclear. Hence, the aim of this study is to infer causal associations of circulating lipid-related traits [including high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), triglyceride (TG), apolipoprotein A-I (apoA-I), and apolipoprotein B (apoB)] with VaD jointly using univariable MR (uvMR), multivariable MR (mvMR) and bidirectional two-sample MR methods. Then, the summary-data-based MR (SMR) and two-sample MR analysis were conducted to investigate the association of lipid-lowering drugs target genes expression (including HMGCR, PCSK9, NPC1L1, and APOB) and LDL-C level mediated by these target genes with VaD.
