Case Report: The Authors present the case of a 42-year-old female who developed peritonitis immediately after undergoing surgery for thoracolumbar fracture-dislocation caused by a traffic accident. The patient exhibited no abdominal symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, or abdominal wall rigidity, and had no difficulty with oral intake preoperatively.

Objectives: Accurate preoperative staging of upper tract urothelial carcinoma is often difficult. Therefore, we aimed to investigate the preoperative factors associated with pathological upstaging in patients with upper tract urothelial carcinoma undergoing radical nephroureterectomy and to develop a risk-scoring system to assess pathological upstaging.

Methods: This retrospective study enrolled 386 patients with upper tract urothelial carcinoma who underwent radical nephroureterectomy at Tottori University Hospital and affiliated hospitals between January 2015 and December 2021.

Unlabelled: The Bland-White-Garland syndrome, or Anomalous Origin of the Left Coronary Artery from the Pulmonary Artery (ALCAPA) syndrome, is a rare congenital cardiac anomaly often associated with high mortality, if left untreated. We present a case of a 43-year-old female with undiagnosed ALCAPA who initially underwent mitral valve surgery for severe mitral regurgitation, only to require reoperation due to adult-type ALCAPA. Intraoperatively, the discovery of dilated right coronary artery and its branches and absence of the left coronary ostium prompted further investigation, leading to the diagnosis of adult-type ALCAPA.

Methods: A total of 56 patients who underwent ABR or OL due to anterior glenohumeral instability between January 2018 and December 2021 were evaluated retrospectively.

Exercise is a well-documented, nonpharmacologic treatment for individuals with autonomic dysfunction and associated orthostatic intolerance, such as postural tachycardia syndrome and related disorders. Exercise has been shown to increase blood volume, reverse cardiovascular deconditioning, and improve quality of life. Current first-line standard of care treatment for autonomic dysfunction combines graded approaches to exercise with medications and lifestyle modifications.

Problem: Fetal growth restriction (FGR) is a critical pregnancy complication linked to increased perinatal morbidity and mortality. Inflammation plays a key role in FGR's pathophysiology, and systemic inflammation markers may serve as predictors. This study evaluates the role of various inflammation indices; systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI), pan-immune-inflammation value (PIV), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio (MLR), lymphocyte-to-platelet ratio (LMR), monocyte-to-platelet ratio (MPR), aggregate systemic inflammation index (AISI), systemic coagulation inflammation index (SCII), and immature granulocyte percentage (IG%) in predicting FGR.

Background: IgA nephropathy (IgAN) is the most common primary glomerulonephritis in the world and is an important cause of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and kidney failure. Outcomes are heterogeneous, and accurate risk stratification is important to identify the highest risk individuals for treatment and to help prevent disease progression. The Oxford classification (OC) is an internationally adopted standard for renal biopsy reporting in IgAN, which measures the degree of histological abnormalities and predicts prognosis.
