Purpose: Although the wide-awake anesthesia no tourniquet (WALANT) technique has demonstrated high efficacy, safety, patient satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness in hand surgery, there are limited data on its use in foot and ankle surgery. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of the WALANT technique in selected foot and ankle injuries in terms of intra- and post-operative characteristics.
Material And Methods: Patients with foot and ankle injuries who underwent surgery with the WALANT technique were evaluated in this retrospective study.
Objectives: In this study, we aimed to evaluate ciprofloxacin resistance and the presence of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase producing organisms (ESBLs) in the population of patients with indication to undergo prostate biopsy. Our additional aim was to compare the targeted antibiotic prophylaxis and sepsis rates after transrectal ultrasound guided prostate biopsy in patients who received routine ciprofloxacin prophylaxis and to evaluate the predictive factors of antibiotic resistance.
Methods: Between September 2012 and January 2014, 300 patients were randomized to two groups.

Introduction: Periprosthetic fractures of the femur are uncommon, but at times may lead to complications especially in elderly patients. As treatment of these fractures is difficult, prevention by identifying the risk factors is the best way to overcome these complex problems.
Case Report: A periprosthetic right femur fracture associated with a neglected left femoral neck fracture in the contralateral femur in a 78-year-old elder woman patient is reported in the present article.

This study aims to examine the affective temperaments in women without any psychiatric diagnoses during the pregnancy period.
Method: The study included 100 pregnant women at the third trimester of their pregnancy (pregnant group) and 75 non-pregnant women (control group).

Aim: Formation of adhesions in the abdominal region appearing after abdominal pelvic surgery lead to infertility, chronic pelvic pain, intestinal obstructions, difficulty and morbidity at the following operations, and increased morbidity.
