A high prevalence of physical inactivity, metabolic risk factors, and depression place Latinas in peril of developing cardiovascular disease. "Un Corazón Saludable: A Healthy Heart" was developed to engage urban Latinas in physical activity and increase awareness of cardiac and metabolic risk factors. Two hundred and twenty-five Latinas enrolled in the program that included salsa aerobics and culturally sensitive health education modules.

The objective of this study was to examine differences in family caregiver satisfaction with care at end of life based on site of death, in an observational study involving advanced cancer patients and their family caregivers. The study was based on follow-up interviews with 28 family caregivers of 28 patients who died during a two-year prospective study involving 68 patients and 68 family caregivers. Telephone interviews addressed the circumstances of the patients 'death, their satisfaction with the care provided to the patient, and their satisfaction with how well they were attended to by health providers.

Reiki is a vibrational, or subtle energy, therapy most commonly facilitated by light touch, which is believed to balance the biofield and strengthen the body's ability to heal itself. Although systematic study of efficacy is scant thus far, Reiki is increasingly used as an adjunct to conventional medical care, both in and out of hospital settings. This article will describe the practice and review the history and theory of Reiki, giving readers a context for the growing popularity of this healing modality.
