The aim of this study is to synthesize oxazol-5-one derivatives, which have multi-functional properties. Nomenclatures of newly synthesized molecules are 4-(4-N,N-diethylaminophenylmethylene)-2-(3-thienyl)oxazol-5-one (4a) and 4-(4-(1,4,7,10-tetraoxa-13-azacyclopentadecyl)phenylmethylene)-2-(3-thienyl)oxazol-5-one (4b). These two novel derivatives contain pH sensitive and polymerizable groups.

Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of physical examination findings and functional tests in adult acute wrist trauma patients who presented to the emergency department (ED) and to create a reliable and practical clinical decision rule for determining the necessity of radiography in wrist trauma.
Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted in a tertiary ED. Each patient was checked for 18 physical examination findings and functional tests.

The objective of the current study was to improve the quality characteristics of ohmically pre-cooked beef meatballs via infrared cooking as a final stage. Samples were pre-cooked in a specially designed-continuous type ohmic cooker at a voltage gradient of 15.26 V/cm for 92 s.
