Factors that influence osteopathic medical students' (OMS) interprofessional attitudes are currently unknown. This study sought to examine differences in interprofessional attitudes after completing an IPE didactic curriculum and identify specific student or curricular factors correlated with higher interprofessional attitudes.

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is one of the most common infections worldwide that presents with a multitude of symptoms such as lymphadenopathy, fever, and malaise and has associations with Hodgkin's lymphoma. EBV can cause elevations in transaminase values and hyperbilirubinemia; however, EBV will rarely cause hepatitis with cholestatic features. Here we report a case of a 15-year-old male with a past medical history of potential Gilbert's syndrome who presented with jaundice, scleral icterus, mild abdominal pain, and low-grade fever.

Value-based healthcare payment models are an alternative insurance payment system that compensates healthcare providers based on their patients' outcomes rather than the individual services healthcare workers provide. This shift from the current fee-for-service model that predominates our medical system has received renewed popularity and attention within organized medicine such as the American Medical Association. Advocates believe that this new payment model will address many of the unsolved issues in healthcare such as medical waste and unsustainable healthcare costs.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives have garnered increasing attention within medical education as there have been increased efforts to diversify the physician workforce among medical students, residents, fellows, and attendings. One way in which programs can improve their DEI initiatives and attract a more diverse pool of applicants is through DEI content on their graduate medical education websites. Prior studies characterizing the content and prevalence of DEI material on residency webpages have shown that dermatology residencies have relatively low levels of DEI content on their websites in which almost ¾ of all programs having no DEI content.

In the United States, healthcare providers have the federally protected right to conscientiously refuse to provide treatments or services that they feel violate their moral or religious values. This refusal of services is colloquially known as "conscientious objection," which has become a polarizing topic in today's medical and ethical landscape. Typically, physicians exercising their right to conscientious objection do not represent a barrier in access to care for most patient populations.

Acquired methemoglobinemia is a potentially lethal medical condition caused by exposure to oxidizing xenobiotics, including antibiotics such as dapsone and inhaled anesthetics such as benzocaine. In this case report, we describe two presentations of acquired methemoglobinemia which presented to our surgical intensive care unit within one month. This highlights the potential connection between an emergent surgery or procedure and the development of methemoglobinemia in an environment where it is presumed that this condition would be extremely rare.
